No thanks.

Tired of these sort of posts.

How fortunate then that it's not obligatory to read them!

What’s your house like

No padded door knocker kitchen chairs, strangely enough.

I'm not seeking validation. This is an AMA.

In which case why haven't you posted it in AMA board? Thats what it's there for.

LuckyAmy1986 · 06/03/2026 17:00

you sound happy!

How big is your house? Or is it not that big but in exclusive area (or both)?

DrumsPleaseFab · 06/03/2026 17:01

How will you stop your kids from never developing a work ethic as they do not have the financial impetus to work?

(asking as most of my rich friends have adult children who do not want to work unless it is as influencer or very part time yoga instructor )

£2M mortgage free home.
Water front holiday home on the IOW.
2 Mercedes.
DH earns £600k pa.

£600k? Jeez. Is he C-suite or something else like a successful actor/musician?

Do you find your life is low-stress knowing how financially secure you are?

Do you find that is more money than you can possibly spend? Or do you have very luxury tastes and hobbies?

momtoboys · 06/03/2026 17:02

I would consider the OP wealthy. I would like to see what that is like sometime. 😁

Tbf loads of adult kids don't work when they've been brought up in the benefits lifestyle. It isn't just rich kids.

I love a AMA however this feels so cringe. You claim to be super rich however you're passing your time on here.

If I were rich, I would not be on here to pass the time.

So genuine question, what are you missing in life?

I haven't claimed to be 'super' rich at any point.
Yes I'm passing some of my time today on MN, this one wet and windy day with the rest of the year ahead, that must mean I'm clinically depressed.

Go start your own thread then 🙄

NO THANKS!

Justgorgeous · 06/03/2026 17:04

Maybe do something with your time and ‘marriage wealth’ rather than bring so egotistical that you would think that any of the answers are going to be of interest to people. Nobody will ever know if you are telling the truth - such a waste of time.

Iho · 06/03/2026 17:05

Steeleydan · 06/03/2026 16:17

Are you always so up yourself

What gives you that impression.

Did you have “traditional” values before you met your husband, so always aimed for SAHP life, or did he just happen to have the money for you to gratefully do so?

Iho · 06/03/2026 17:07

angelos02 · 06/03/2026 16:17

How many members of staff do you have? When I was with someone 'rich', I had about 8 :-)

In terms of employees 30.
Staff as in domestic help? Only a gardener. I don't want cleaners.

Blisteringlycold · 06/03/2026 17:08

nam3c4ang3 · 06/03/2026 17:09

PersephonePomegranate · 06/03/2026 17:10

Do you think that having money has fundamentally changed withered of you?

Do you ever worry about being replaced by a younger model in time?

Stephybris62 · 06/03/2026 17:10

Perfect28 · 06/03/2026 17:11

Not true. I don’t mind anyone having £2.38 to their name, for example, it’s just preferable IMO that it’s your own £2.38 and not your husband’s.

Iho · 06/03/2026 17:12

IDasIX · 06/03/2026 16:17

Do you ever think about what you’d do for income if you split up? You’d probably get half the house, but I’d imagine you’d have to downsize very considerably if you also needed money to live off?

I'd be in a position to buy a property outright. I would have to get a job to pay the bills but the biggest outgoing for most is the rent or mortgage which is something I wouldn't have to worry about.
