Do you think you look better in terms of your physical appearance than you did before you were rich? And if so, how? Is it clothes/ better food/ products /gym/ treatments/ lack of stress that makes the difference, or all of the above?

Iho · 06/03/2026 16:51

Lifeomars · 06/03/2026 16:13

Would you piry someone like me who lives in a two up two down in a bad area but is also mortgage free after working for decades and bringing up a child by themselves? I too was never that keen on working but we would have starved and been homeless unless I did. Do you think people like me simply should have tried harder?

Not at all. I grew up relatively poor.

How much in the bank?

PippaToryFripp · 06/03/2026 16:51

How much debt have you got?

PippaToryFripp · 06/03/2026 16:51

Do you feel 100% fulfilled?

I suppose it is all relative. Hundreds of millions isn't just rich it is mega rich in my opinion.

No I wouldn't like to work ever again. I find ways to occupy my time that are more enjoyable than being stuck at my desk for 8hrs like I was before.

What was your job before?

Owlmoonstar · 06/03/2026 16:52

I don't think OP sounds snooty.

Good for you I say. Why on earth would anyone waste their life in work if they don't need to? Unless it's something you're absolutely passionate about.

Enjoy your relaxed life.

rainbowsandraspberrygin · 06/03/2026 16:52

Why are people being so mean??

Honestly the jealousy on here.

If you don’t like her life then go and find another thread.

my question: is there anything you miss from working and your old life pre money?

ThirdStorm · 06/03/2026 16:54

Do you see your husband enough for quality time together?

*This is my assumption that to earn that kind of money you'd have to work 24/7!

Harrysmummy246 · 06/03/2026 16:54

I'm assuming you're bored and think anyone is interested...

Mayflower282 · 06/03/2026 16:54

Not to be rude but £600k salary in London wouldn’t really classify you as rich sector. At least £5 mill income a year would be more the rich end.

Frikadelle · 06/03/2026 16:54

Do you really not support any charities at all? Why not?

Imlyingandthatsthetruth · 06/03/2026 16:55

And your excuse is?

Gloriia · 06/03/2026 16:55

Sounds great op. Think we'd all love a mortgage free house and not to work.
Are you scared it might all go one day, poor investment, ow or whatever?

Butterknife · 06/03/2026 16:56

How much is enough money to have before retirement?
Do you worry about your kids growing up with no work ethic - expecting to live off the inheritance?
Do you have less well off relatives? Do you help them out? Or is there an expectation that you share your good fortune around?
Do you mix with similarly wealthy people, do you worry about potential suitors wanting to partner up with your kids when they get older - will you be insisting on a prenup - especially if they don't come to the partnership with the same wealth?

crazeekat · 06/03/2026 16:56

Would u be able to maintain ur life if ur husband divorced you? Have u gave up ur own work to be a housewife?

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 06/03/2026 16:56

Is the Isle Of white near Sandbanks ?

Is your husband the father of your 2 teenage sons.

keepwakingup · 06/03/2026 16:57

What is there that is interesting or different about your life? You must think there is, otherwise why do an AMA? All I’m getting so far is that you have the life of a pretty average SAHM and like short haul holidays.

I agree with this. It’s odd that people are disputing that you’re rich. £600k a year is possibly £27k income a month! Probably a lot more as not on PAYE.

I’d love to be in your position and not have to work. I’m sure most people would, which is why so many play the lottery each week.

How do you spend your time?
What, if any, has been the impact on your relationships with friends and family?
Are you and your husband happy to pay your share of tax?
Do you help friends and family out financially?
How much do you give to charity - what percentage of your income?

Housework, visiting family, gardening, cooking, days out.
There has been no impact thankfully.
Yes. The amount of tax he pays more than covers me being a financial burden to society 😉
Yes we help out family quite a lot. I often treat my friends when we go out too. For example I will buy the drinks for the evening and cover the meal.
We give nothing to charity in terms of a direct debit. I will donate to other causes that move me, such as go fund me for sick people who can't afford treatment.

£2M mortgage free home.
Water front holiday home on the IOW.
2 Mercedes.
DH earns £600k pa.

OK that's not rich IMO

What level of investments do you have?
