Im working class. AMA.

What do you class as rich? What do you think of rich people ? Are you rich ?

Arraminta · 06/03/2026 18:08

Belgian Trade Mission. Quite possibly the three most boring words, ever.

In contrast I happen to love a good declutter of a cupboard.

If you like to sail it's the perfect place.
Just rich.

Agree. I don't know why people are deriding this. I know heaps of wealthy people with homes on IoW. Especially if they love sailing

Property developer.

a few questions.
do you help out?
does he buy run down properties and do them up?
or does he purchase a block of land then develop that?
what did he do before property development?

Iho · 06/03/2026 18:08

PippaToryFripp · 06/03/2026 16:51

Do you feel 100% fulfilled?

I do as I was never a career driven person. I'm very much a homebody.

@Iho There are many non-corporate jobs available. Have you tried any of them?

she doesn’t need to work ?

Millowmallowsky · 06/03/2026 18:09

With any post there is always bashing so dont take any heed.

But what i envy in your case is that you have a husband that is faithful and loves you. Thats something to be proud and cherish, as the standards of men have really dropped these days

What was your job before?

Hospital admin.

I mean, I'd love to not work for money, and I'd love the freedom that extra cash brings (like being able to jump on a taxi if running late, or cheering a friend up with a massive flower bouquet)

But I'd still work or do something. I can't imagine filling two days of the week with just cleaning.

Op, how do you keep your brain engaged? How do you get those synapses firing? Do you miss a level of challenge? Do you do any learning or courses etc?

Hospital admin.

More public Sector than corporate world ?

Bestfootforward11 · 06/03/2026 18:11

Genuine question, re why post? As in while I am not particularly wealthy, there might be things people might like to know about my life/job (as with anyone really, everyone has a story to tell) but it would never occur to me to post. So I am just wondering. You seem happy enough and I wish you all the best! x

Why are people being so mean??

Honestly the jealousy on here.

If you don’t like her life then go and find another thread.

my question: is there anything you miss from working and your old life pre money?

I don't miss anything about work but that is probably because it wasn't a career so to speak. I grew up quite poor so not having the worry of financial troubles is so liberating.

have you ever featured on that TikTok fella’s video ‘I’m rich, you’re poor’ where people have drawers full of different flavoured, shaped and coloured ice cubes in a big fuck off freezer? If not then you’re not rich enough to be on here. 🫡

Love that guy he is hilarious

Don't have an issue with rich people. Don't like be boastful about it. I'm definitely not rich!

OP is doing very well staying classy! I’d have lost my rag by now 😆

She is, isn't she! Well done, OP.

ThirdStorm · 06/03/2026 16:54

Do you see your husband enough for quality time together?

*This is my assumption that to earn that kind of money you'd have to work 24/7!

He works from home most of the time so I get to see him all the time.

Not to be rude but £600k salary in London wouldn’t really classify you as rich sector. At least £5 mill income a year would be more the rich end.

I appreciate that, wealth is relative. We don't live in London.

I love a AMA however this feels so cringe. You claim to be super rich however you're passing your time on here.

If I were rich, I would not be on here to pass the time.

So genuine question, what are you missing in life?

Because the interest bank accounts on her doesn't need monitoring all the time so whilst it's building she is here posting .

Do you really not support any charities at all? Why not?

We don't do direct debits no. I will donate to causes as and when, for instance the last charitable cause I gave money to was a go fund me where a young mother had a brain tumor and needed treatment in America.

It's like saying how do people keep their brains engaged doing a minimum wage drudgery job. I think having the funds to do what you like when you like might 'fire up the synapses' a bit more than the daily grind of work.

I'd just be worried it was all too good to be true but that's life isn't it, never know what can crop up.

Iho · 06/03/2026 18:20

Gloriia · 06/03/2026 16:55

Sounds great op. Think we'd all love a mortgage free house and not to work.
Are you scared it might all go one day, poor investment, ow or whatever?

No I don't worry as DH is rather savvy and houses will always need building. 'Bricks and mortar' and all that.

lovemetomybones · 06/03/2026 18:20

What are your thoughts on the fact that 10% of the world’s wealth is distributed amongst 90% of the world’s population? Since you have the opportunity to have so much free time and more money than the top 1% of the worlds population have you or do you help others less fortunate than yourself?
