Have you always been a psychopath?

SpeckledlyHen · 11/06/2023 09:08

I hung out my washing yesterday and was thinking how long it would take before someone posted this crap again. Hasn’t it been done to death.

YomAsalYomBasal · 11/06/2023 09:08

How many spiders rubbed their willies on it?

Mojitosaremyfavourite · 11/06/2023 09:08

I don’t understand

SauceForTheGoose · 11/06/2023 09:09

Why on purpose?

It has been suggested before, yes

This is a pertinent question that I'm afraid I don't have an answer for.

I'm a natural risk taker!

It's a really good thing to do. Saves an extra job in the morning. What pegs do you use OP? (Trying to think of an AMA...)

Tudorfish · 11/06/2023 09:25

My DH has a theory that pegs "degrade" if left outside. Do you share his theory?

darisdet · 11/06/2023 09:28

I wonder if I beat you, OP? I put some washing out at 7pm! With intent to leave it overnight.

My mother would be in shock. Grumbles about morning dew and insects setting up home in the clothes (they can do that during the day too!)

DustyLee123 · 11/06/2023 09:29

I hang mine out in the summer evenings deliberately 😱😱😱

gogohmm · 11/06/2023 09:38

I hung mine out at 8pm, not only was it darked on, but it went and rained! Oh well got another rinse and is now nearly dry

Whatthediddlyfeck · 11/06/2023 09:39

Are you ok hun? Thorts and prays for your washing

SilenceOfTheGoats · 11/06/2023 09:39

Lucky you! I always get mine lighted on. Starts peeling afterwards, such a shame.

I can support your dh's theory with empirical evidence. I never bother to take my pegs in and they're starting to become brittle and snap making me reconsider my choices.

Brigitteshittette · 11/06/2023 09:42

I never get these threads but seriously think they’re another ridiculous standard for women to uphold. If it’s not going to rain, I leave my washing out overnight and nobody cares. If it’s going to be windy and dry I do it intentionally?
Its the modern day equivalent of judging women by how well they scrub their step.
My house is not very Mrs Hinch, and that’s because I have other priorities 🤷‍♀️

IsAnybodyListening · 11/06/2023 09:45

Have you always been such a risk taker? DP purposefully left the kitchen rug on the line the other night to get darked upon. Can barely look him in the eye at the moment. Had no idea I was living with a psychopath.

countvoncount · 11/06/2023 09:53

Argh I just couldn't!!
It's got to be in before the first solar light illuminates lest the entire line is cursed.

On this I may further cause controversy, I have a mix of three different types.

I have a peg bag that comes inside usually but that too got darked on last night.

This is exactly what I did, once the kids were out of the pool I hung the washing, took it in this morning before they got back in it.
