This is quite a strange AMA -- are you expecting people to ask you to justify
'marrying down' in social class terms, or to explain how it happened? Or is the 'reveal' going to be that in fact you both met at Oxford? Proles do go there, you know. I did myself.

Lol I'd never make it to Oxbridge in a million years !!!! Although I've visited there an like it - my academics nowhere near good enough !

I married someone who has had the same level of education and religion as me so I kind of think it shapes how we are together (not much conflict we literally earn the same money)

Look, I’m not pissing on your chips to encourage a nasty pile on but it is quite a normal state of affairs. My last boyfriend was a trust fund millionaire, one of a long line educated at Harrow and lived in Chelsea. I’m the product of divorce, mum received benefits (until she went to university / got the job she wanted) lived in a council house till I was 13 and went to State school (albeit Grammar, darling 😉).

Why do you think you are different? Not meant in an arsey way - genuinely interested in your position.

Yes - I feel very comfortable with his friends - very jovial and outgoing. He also feels comfortable with mine - we both went to the same 6th form college situated in a very working class area - in the middle of two large council estates

No. My parents forced a friendship on me with a girl with a similar background. I hated it and hated her for that matter !

This isn't that unusual is it? I can think of multiple couples in my social circle alone who have married across classes. I myself was the plebby lower class partner in a past relationship (his parents were lovely to me - probably because I was 10 times brighter and more hard working than their son who had squandered his private education).
