I used to get the free newspaper every weekend but obviously that wasn’t enough to get the free newspaper vouchers ☹️
However I was v grateful to the person who said I can apply the weekly vouchers against anything not just if I’m buying that thing!

If you had a magic wand what is the one thing you would change about Waitrose to benefit the customer?

SouthOfFrance · 18/09/2022 23:54

Message to any Waitrose HR people who might read this thread....

Don't sack the Op, she's definitely made Waitrose a) sound like a great place to work & b) sound like a great place to shop.

Infact, perhaps consider getting her a job in recruitment or marketing?

MabelMoo23 · 19/09/2022 09:21

I have no question but I just wanted to say I think the online delivery from Waitrose is fantastic.

if an item is near use by date it’s highlighted to me and it’s free - also when I get substitutes, often it’s the bigger item (eg laundry detergent) but at the same cost.

it’s little things like that, that keep me using Waitrose for my online delivery. Also essentials range is fantastic, and yes whilst some things are more expensive than other stores, the branded items are usually exactly same cost as other stores

I would request to have this thread taken down if I were you OP.
If the partnership see this thread and work out who you are then you will be disciplined, possibly sacked. Although you’ve said nothing negative, it will be frowned upon, I’m afraid.

It’s just frowned upon I’m afraid. Just the way the Partnership is.

Well its made me want to try the essentials range if its on a par with tesco finest, that's something I've learned from this thread. Why dont they advertise this? Actually do waitrose advertise, i dont think ive ever seen any?

FayeGovan · 19/09/2022 11:39

Why is it frowned upon to talk about working there, i dont get that either??

SouthOfFrance · 19/09/2022 11:42

Yeah I was thinking that about the essentials range too FayeGovan

Op I hope you aren't recognised, the coffee was not not meant to be shared publicly. Maybe if you had read currents ?? Ouch

That's confirming the coffee far more than the op did tbf

Pratners · 19/09/2022 11:56

I'm not worried about being recognised. I've said nothing identifying and MNHQ won't be giving out my details.
As some have pointed out, I've been very positive about my job and employer. I've said nothing more than I would say to my friends in a chat about our jobs.
This has mostly been a lovely thread, thanks for all the questions and interest, and best of luck to those who mentioned upcoming interviews - I hope you get the job! Thanks also to those praising Waitrose, you're very kind 🙂
