hi,

been an escort since February now and doing rather well. I have lots of strange stories and experiences so think I’m able to answer some questions lol!

OP posts:

The Op has painted quite a difficult picture of her life and mental health outside of work. I don't think many women here are "threatened". I do, however, see a lot of concern. Not everyone is going to pay her on the back and send her on her way. Tbh, the op seems quite fragile and the majority of posts are reflecting that

ScarlettnotOHara · 16/08/2022 10:07

He obviously has no respect for you ! What husband would support their wife doing this and risk her safety ??? He’s someone you live with who is happy to have his wife rented out to bring in the cash !! So very sad 😢

An abusive/controlling one with a fetish. That was my experience anyway.

There is something very wrong with any husband who waves his wife off to bring home the bacon by putting herself in vulnerable positions with strange men.

adriftabroad · 16/08/2022 10:11

Sorry, I did word it wrongly. Not threatened by the OP, as such, but by the existence of women that undertake this work..

Definite undertones, to me, anyway.

Clearly the OP is vulnerable, we all are. Obviously it will not be a long term option for her, but, credit to her.
IMHO

Or perhaps some of us can recognise damage, trauma, and empathise with it.

Clearly most posters feel very threatened by the OP.
Not a job I would do but no point in denying it is going on everywhere, all the time.

IMO Tinder, much of OLD etc is just (married) men trying to get it for free,

Interesting AMA OP, thank you. You sound like you approach it all as safely as possible.

I don’t feel threatened by her, I just feel concerned for her as she sounds very vulnerable and I think she is deluding herself. I imagine a lot of posters feel the same way.

adriftabroad · 16/08/2022 10:14

I recognise damage and trauma and have plenty of empathy.

I can also read between the lines.

OP will not be giving every detail of her family life 100% accurately (I would imagine)

For obvious reason.

You missed my clarification/correction.

Aroundandaroundagain3 · 16/08/2022 10:19

I just read all of your posts OP and now see you have mentioned having BPD which is another layer to your vulnerabilities.

I have CPTSD which is similar to BPD in lots of ways. The sex work under duress in my late teens/early 20's most definitely compounded any emotional issues I already had from childhood.

Is it possible you are using sex work as a form of self harm?

Luckydip1 · 16/08/2022 10:19

Some vulnerable people work in factories and are miserable but that's the only way they can make money even though it may be damaging their mental health. Yet people don't call them out and tell them to do something else. Not everyone can get a well paid normal job.

Ha! Your posts have been as far from empathetic as possible.

Try less judgement if you're aiming for empathy

What have I said that's judgemental?

I'm shocked how many men over just a few days, make you wonder how many men out there pay for sex.

Are you in a city area?

Would you consider yourself good looking?

I once read a stat that 1 in 8 British men use sex workers. And if in the London area, it might be more because there are more men who can afford it. The typical profile of a man who visit sex workers is a middle to high income man e.g. £30k-50k. The study proposed that lower income men cannot afford it and rich men have too much to 'lose' (and presumably may have fewer problems attracting young attractive women IRL).

But the men who would pay for sex if there was no concerns about affordability or reputation? Based on this study- I would say its a high percentage.

You can’t really compare working in a factory to having sex with 10-15 strange men every weekend.

If sex work was the same as working in a shop or factory then a lot more people would do it considering the earning potential, but funnily enough most people don’t really like the sound of allowing strange men to rape them for money.

onthefencesitter · 16/08/2022 10:27

Why is everyone hating on the OP? Prostitution is the world's oldest job.It has always been so.

And if men didn't feel the need to have sex without investing in a relationship, there would be no demand

ScarlettnotOHara · 16/08/2022 10:28

Let’s face it this is almost “ look at me boast post “. Prostitution has been going on since the start of time , any woman could do it so there’s nothing special there. As for positive reviews on Adultworks what a joke lol. Things like this break up families. Just hope the tax man knows how much you’re earning and enjoying yourself !!

rrf · 16/08/2022 10:29

Thank you for the clarification, I appreciate your point of view but I see it differently. To me, sex workers are some of the more vulnerable in society and the most exploited because of this. Nothing to read in-between the lines. 😊

Or cheating men break up families.

If those men are paying for sex, you know they would cheat with any woman.

SueSaid · 16/08/2022 10:31

'Why is everyone hating on the OP? Prostitution is the world's oldest job.It has always been so.'

Don't see any hate. The op seems almost proud, paints it almost as a weekend (paid) hobby which seems to suggest some coercion from the high earning/low earning dh. What's he doing while she's off performing sexual services for 30 men. It's all just so concerning that some women live like this.

The problem with these studies is the (lack) of participants, so the data recorded is not accurate as it is only reflective on those who have taken part in that particular piece of research. A lot of sex workers won’t take part in research because they’re not paid for their time, so this also skews results further.

Men who visit sex workers come from all walks of life, and from all financial backgrounds, and far more than one in eight men have paid for sex. (Personally, I estimate it’s probably around one in three). It is also worth noting that paying for sex has nothing to do with a man’s ability/inability to attract women to have sex with him - it’s about convenience and in many cases, immediacy.

ScarlettnotOHara · 16/08/2022 10:39

@onthefencesitter yes agreed! Cheats are cheats but the OP almost boasting how much money she earns like it’s an amazing career choice is a joke !! Grim

I also think it's about power, being able to "buy" a woman.

Luckydip1 · 16/08/2022 10:39

@Elsiebear90 the OP enjoys sex and I think a lot of people are put off only because of the taboo around it. I really think it's time this idea of it being taboo needs to change.

Agree. There is no hate or jealousy.

Some of OPs posts have really disturbed me, the traumatic past and the weird set up with the husband just set of alarm bells. One post saying she enjoys the sex and her punters are very attractive, on another says she does whicher sex act "finishes them off" quickest. One post saying she refuses certain acts, another describes how she gets paid to do said act in detail.

As PP have said, there is much to be concerned about, OP doesn't come across as particularly happy or healthy.
