Bearing in mind the impact your large family must have on the environment, do you think you’ve been hugely selfish?

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/03/2020 15:50

How the hell are you keeping them on track with school work at the moment?

NastyOldBag · 27/03/2020 15:51

Why? Just why?

isittheholidaysyet · 27/03/2020 15:51

Are you managing to get enough food? We're struggling.

n00bMaster69 · 27/03/2020 15:53

Do you and/or your partner work?

Wannabangbang · 27/03/2020 15:53

How are you coping with getting food?

turnthebiglightoff · 27/03/2020 15:55

@tiredanddangerous wow you're a peach

Stayawayfromitsmouth · 27/03/2020 15:56

How many bedrooms does your house have?
Do you have 1 to 1 time with each child?
How many rooms do you need in a hotel or do you always need a cottage on holiday?

LooseleafTea · 27/03/2020 15:57

Do you or your DH ever get overwhelmed by emptying the dishwasher again and again, I find it a chore with just 2 dc and take my hat off to you ! And do the dc have chores?

CeriseClementine · 27/03/2020 15:57

Do you still get broody?

We have three and dh has had the snip. I didn't massively want him to but kind of forced myself to be OK with it (it was a total joint decision, if anything me that was driving it) because I knew that we'd have a fourth otherwise and my head said no.

I wonder if broody ever leaves you as I thought i'd stop being broody after three...

Rocketinapocket · 27/03/2020 16:02

Are you religious?

tiredanddangerous · 27/03/2020 16:02

@turnthebiglightoff not really. Just environmentally conscious and think it’s a shame more people aren’t.

TheVanguardSix · 27/03/2020 16:04

What ages are they?

Patch23042 · 27/03/2020 16:05

Are they all your biological children?

pinkyredrose · 27/03/2020 16:06

Why did you want seven children?

LittleRen · 27/03/2020 16:06

This was never going to go down well on here.. Biscuit

Rocketinapocket · 27/03/2020 16:07

The broody left me after three Cerise.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 27/03/2020 16:10

Do you have a telly?

AnotherMurkyDay · 27/03/2020 16:10

Do they all have similar sounding names like Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, Grumpy etc. All start with the same letter or all completely different?

sillysmiles · 27/03/2020 16:11

As someone who is one of 9 siblings, large families are great!

upaladderagain · 27/03/2020 16:11

I feel very sorry for your pelvic floor ....

whirlwindwhirling · 27/03/2020 16:18

Bearing in mind the impact your large family must have on the environment, do you think you’ve been hugely selfish?
As a big family we do take up more resources, I try to be careful where I can and go for the more environmentally friendly options. I understand why people would see having quite a lot of children as selfish but saying that they are already alive so I can't go back on my decisions now.
How the hell are you keeping them on track with school work at the moment?*
It's not been easy, my older ones mostly do their work independently with help there when they need it. My youngest two have to have a lot more help with it so I've been focusing on them. As long as all of them are getting some work done everyday I'm happy with that at the moment
Are you managing to get enough food? We're struggling.
We have enough in at the moment, I did a shop yesterday, it's hard with the restrictions on how much of one thing you can buy when I usually get multiples so even the foods that are in I can't get enough of for everyone. I've been buying some random foods that we don't usually get and make more food from stretch.
Do you and/or your partner work?
My husband works and I'm planning to start working part time once my youngest starts school.
How many bedrooms does your house have? Do you have 1 to 1 time with each child? How many rooms do you need in a hotel or do you always need a cottage on holiday?
There's 6 bedrooms. I try to have one on one time as much as possible and at least have chats with each of them on their own when things are busy
Do you or your DH ever get overwhelmed by emptying the dishwasher again and again, I find it a chore with just 2 dc and take my hat off to you ! And do the dc have chores?
I hate doing the dishes but we try to get some done after each meal so it doesn't pile up and yes helping out with the dishes is part of their chores Grin they don't have loads of chores it's mostly just tidying rooms up
Do you still get broody?
Sometimes, usually when I see how much mine are growing up or I see a cute baby

Are you religious?
No, I'm not
What ages are they?
They are 16, 14, 12, 11, 8, 6 and 4
Are they all your biological children?
Yes
Why did you want seven children?
I'd always been keen on the idea of a big family
Do you have a telly?
Yep, I've heard that one a few times
Do they all have similar sounding names like Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, Grumpy etc. All start with the same letter or all completely different?
All very different names none of them starting with the same letter

How the hell do you keep sane?
How do you manage to get time for yourself?
How do you deal with the noise and constant mess that must come with 7 kids.

ElektraPlektra · 27/03/2020 16:38

How did/do you deal with the sleep deprivation? Were all of yours good sleepers? Any tips??
