More seriously, why do cyclists insist using the road and holding everyone up rather than shared pavements which are clearly marked as cycle paths?

And one last one. If you are on the road, do you want me to follow you at 15 mph and be right up your rear wheel on a 40 mph road, or are you happy for me to squeeze past if there's space, albeit not the half a car width that's recommended?

Sorry, but Surrey appears to be the home of the inconsiderate cyclist, so forgive me if I get a little impatient with those that give you a bad name!

I followed a pair of cyclists riding two abreast on a busy road with a huge queue behind them the other day. Seem to come across situations like this constantly and it makes me really resent cyclists!

OP I’m sure you’re not one of these idiots (though maybe you are!) but really, WHY?! Do they not realise the chaos they’re causing? Or do they just not give a fuck?

Why don't cyclists have insurance?

Surely they need it if they run people over and cause injury or death?

And on that subject, do you think cyclists ought to have number plates, so that they can be identified when causing accidents and going through red lights?

What's, in your opinion, the main cause for all the hate on cyclists in the UK?

I'm an avid cyclist myself. It's quite disproportionate really. Quite a few people out there trying to kill you. I'm always quite relieved when I'm back home again and can cycle in a friendly/safe atmosphere.

I do love the amateur CX scene in the UK.

Do you feel scared when you're cycling on the road in front of a bus that can't overtake you? When I am a passenger on a bus in this situation (and I'm usually starting to worry about catching my next connection, if a cyclist slows the bus down!), I feel scared for the cyclist and also wonder how on earth they hold their nerve!

Can you comment on the avoidable death of a mare and foal which occurred when some wanker cyclists were having one of their roadathons and a main road was closed - and the stewards refused to let a vet through to attend to these animals?

Was the cycling thing so fucking important? People's carers also couldn't get to them that day.
