The Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress is a game-changer for those seeking a comfortable, supportive night's sleep. With its clever combination of springs and foam, this mattress offers an impressive balance of firmness and comfort. After using it for three months, mother and grandmother, Christine, noticed a significant improvement in her sleep quality and overall well-being.

“As someone who tends to toss and turn, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this mattress accommodates different sleeping positions”, she shared.

“Whether I'm on my back, side, or stomach, I always wake up feeling refreshed and free from aches - a welcome change from my previous mattress-induced backaches.”

One of the standout features is its temperature regulation. The mattress maintains a neutral temperature throughout the night, which is a blessing for those of us who tend to sleep hot. The edge support is also commendable; Christine shares that she feels secure whether she’s sitting on the edge or sleeping near it.

However, it's not without its quirks.

“The springs can be a bit noisy, creating a creaking sound when you move. While this hasn't significantly impacted my sleep, light sleepers or those with restless partners might find it bothersome.

“The delivery experience was a mixed bag. While the service was prompt, the lack of assistance in moving the mattress to the bedroom could be a challenge for some.

“Also, be prepared for the mattress's dramatic decompression once unpacked - it's quite a sight!”

Despite these minor drawbacks, the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress offers exceptional value for money, retailing at £313. Its performance in comfort, support, and temperature regulation makes it a worthy investment for anyone looking to upgrade their sleep experience.

How comfortable is the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress?

The Zinus Mint Green Foam Hybrid Spring Mattress is a dream come true for those seeking the perfect balance of comfort and support. This affordable mattress combines layers of cushioning foam atop resilient innersprings, offering a sleep experience that's both gentle and supportive.

Christine, a grandmother and our Mumsnet tester, was initially sceptical about the medium-firm feel.

"As someone who previously favoured softer mattresses, I was surprised to find this firmer option more comfortable and beneficial for my back health," she shares.

The plush foam surface provides just the right amount of give, cradling your body while the sturdy steel springs maintain proper spinal alignment. Plus, the hybrid design is truly the best mattress of both worlds.

"It's a winner in my book," Christine shared.

"You get the supportive bounce of springs with the comfort of foam. This combination has effectively alleviated my pressure points, resulting in fewer aches and pains upon waking... Which is very much welcomed ahead of a day spent with my grandkids!”

How well does the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress regulate temperature?

If you're prone to overheating at night, you'll appreciate the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress's excellent temperature regulation.

Throughout her testing period, Christine found that the mattress maintained a neutral temperature, neither too hot nor too cold.

“This feature has significantly contributed to my improved sleep quality."

Christine added: "When it comes to motion transfer, the mattress performs reasonably well. While there is some movement felt when my partner shifts or gets up, it's not significant enough to disturb your sleep.

“However, the creaking noise from the springs is noticeable and might be an issue for very light sleepers.”

How durable is the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress?

“After three months of use, I'm impressed with how well the Zinus Hybrid Spring Mattress has held up.

“There are no signs of sagging or indentation, and the overall performance remains consistent. The mattress has maintained its shape and firmness, suggesting good long-term durability.

“Maintenance is relatively straightforward. The mattress arrived compressed in a box, which was delivered to my home. Although, despite being over 30kg (on Zinus' website they state that delivery would assist with carrying the package to your bedroom if it's over this weight), the delivery team left it in my hallway. So, I had to wait a couple of days for my DP to give me a hand moving it upstairs.

"Once in place though, it was easy enough to open it. The decompression process was quick (and admittedly, a bit startling!). There was a slight odour upon unpacking, but it quickly disappeared and didn't linger.”
