What is the iCandy Peach 7 Twin stroller like to use day-to-day?
Whether you’re running errands or heading to the park, the Peach 7 Twin performs well on all terrains and could be considered as an all-terrain pram, rather than your average pushchair. It's slightly larger, puncture-proof tyres make navigating gravel, muddy paths and grass effortless. Tara found it especially easy to push, even on uneven surfaces.
She says, “The Peach 7 Twin is really easy to manoeuvre. Going up and down kerbs is no problem, and even though I got stuck on some raised gravel once, it was simple to get around. It’s narrow enough to get in and out of shops without any hassle, which is a big plus. While the stroller does feel a bit long with the extra carrycot attached, that’s totally normal for a tandem and doesn’t get in the way too much.
The handlebar is made from soft leather and is extendable so it’s comfortable to push for parents of different heights. “Even though I’ve used two carrycots on this stroller at the same time, it’s still really lightweight. My other twin pram was so heavy I had to lift it at the front to get it up and down kerbs, etc. The Peach 7 Twin has been really helpful as I’ve had a C-section so I needed something lightweight.”
The storage basket is a good size too and can fit more than enough for your day out including a changing bag, however, with two carrycots on the chassis, it does take up some of the storage space. You can, however, clip your changing bag onto the front handle and can still fit items in the basket. The Peach 7 now features a handy rear seat pocket on the seat unit, perfect for storing essentials like your purse, phone, or keys when you don’t want to carry a bag. However, Tara did encounter an issue with the rain covers.
“The stroller comes with a rain cover which is great value for money, however I’ve only used it once, and while rain covers are always a bit fiddly, I found the second one particularly tricky to put on.” She goes on to explain, "There’s no space between the first and second carrycot, so I had to just rest it over the carrycot instead of fitting it properly.”
On a positive note, the Peach 7 Twin now comes with an in-built Ride-on Board, making it perfect for parents with older children. It’s also great value for money, as parents won’t need to buy a separate buggy board for older siblings.
Is the iCandy Peach 7 Twin stroller easy to use on public transport?
The Peach 7 Twin has a tandem design rather than side-to-side, so it’s narrower for steering and getting on and off public transport. It doesn’t fold down easily though so may be tricky in smaller spaces.
Tara, noted: “I’ve used this stroller on a train and it has been easy to manoeuvre on and off/round to the seats. I haven’t used it on a tube or bus but the fact that it’s as narrow as a regular buggy is a bonus.”
Does the iCandy Peach 7 Twin stroller fit in a standard car boot?
The Peach 7 Twin doesn’t fold as compactly as some other double buggies like the Cybex Gazelle S, and all the parts need to be stored separately. While the chassis folds down fairly small, the two seats or carrycots can take up considerable space in a car boot, making it less ideal for parents with smaller cars. Removing the wheels can help make it a bit more compact, though that adds extra hassle on busy mornings.
Tara noted, however, that “it does easily fit in a car boot. I have a seven-seater, and the two seats are always folded down to make more space. Even with the pram in there, there’s still a lot of room. The carrycots do take up a lot of space, but that’s to be expected with two.”
