Meghan and Harry are out of their depth with this. Because of the horrific subject matter, because of Andrew already sullying the Windsor name with similarly sordid allegations and his mum paying off a victim, because of their proven lies and hypocrisy and preaching and suing and whining and accusing and complaining, they have left themselves nowhere to hide. They're completely toxic, by their own actions and by association. Who would want them at this point, apart from Doria? Whatever the rights and wrongs of it, and these are only allegations so far, there are plenty of other people available to befriend / collaborate with / hire / pay to speak / lend a house to / have as a guest speaker without the stench of all the above around them.
That said, from the first of these threads I've given Meghan her dues. She tries, and she's still standing after a number of years of public humiliation and criticism by peers, the entertainment industry, almost her and Harry's entire family, a president, journalists galore, a billion youtubers, journalists, media outlets, social media (like this) - everyone. Self-inflicted or not, it's got to sting at some point. She's got married, had two children, changed jobs, changed countries, undergone extreme physical modification, been married to Harry of all limp-wristed people all in 8 years. And now this. Maybe she is indeed made of tungsten.
