Don't forget the release of the As Ever jam jar plushie speaker as well. This year's must have Christmas gift.

Jesus, my list is long enough 😂😂

Starryfifty · 23/10/2026 19:57

This is the problem. I know they are private citizens, titles in abeyance but loads of reports "the RF is basically the Jerry Springer show" etc. The Markles are another huge stain (including Harry! )

Mylovelygreendress · 23/10/2026 19:59

I have Covid so not thinking too clearly but the Sun’s article doesn’t say who wrote the letter does it ? I mean it could have been anyone .

mysoddenbananabread · 23/10/2026 19:59

It didn't take much for her to make it all about herself . She had to get a dig at the press .

" I hope it can now be understood that despite certain media publications' distortions over the years any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children was for one reason : to protect them"

Harry's incredibly poor taste and judgement is at the root of the whole 8 year dumpster fire. He should feel embarrassed but he won't. It'll be everyone elses fault.

Well that’s really odd. That sounds like the letter was sent by a random. So not an official letter from anyone. Bizarre…

Yes, who was the author of the letter? I assume The Sun know who it is.

BunnyBunbunbun · 23/10/2026 20:01

AtIusvue · 23/10/2026 19:48

The Sun (Meg n Harry preferred media)

State they’ve seen the letter

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/40789811/meghan-markle-dad-thomas-warning-letter/

It may exist, but who sent it, why send it to the Met and why wasn't Thomas Markle investigated and, if he was investigated, why were there no charges against him?

PleasantGreenPorcupine · 23/10/2026 20:02

Now I am completely confused!

Not a chance. It's Williams fault

That’s what I’m wondering too. Initially, I thought perhaps the Met had done some sort of background check on TM and had dug this up, which would make sense. However, MM was presented with a letter and this was accepted as fact?

Agree.

Why send it AFTER the wedding? Surely if it’s to vet the Markle family they would have been told before?

They've still not published the date. They just keep saying it’s weeks after the wedding. Which makes me think maybe it wasn’t and if that was known before, then maybe the RF would wanted to delay the wedding?

they have still have to commit to a date

Yes but what about all your other relationships you ditched ?

BunnyBunbunbun · 23/10/2026 20:07

According to the Sun article:

"The claims in the letter referred to incidents which allegedly occurred abroad."

So why send it to police in the UK? And, if British police received this letter then why didn't they pass it on to the police in the correct jurisdiction? Was there something about the letter that meant they did not take it seriously?

At least now we know that there was no investigation, in which case the letter is just allegations and nothing is proven.

TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow · 23/10/2026 20:07

Starryfifty · 23/10/2026 19:49

Exactly! Why say anything at all. It's obvious he was dumped BEFORE this alleged letter

Yes.

That some will now use today’s allegations to muddy the waters regarding the last 8 years is a certainty and it’s very important that people don’t allow the actual timeline to be forgotten.

I feel very strongly about this.

AutumnCrowOfTheChillWind · 23/10/2026 20:08

DontLiveByTheClouds · 23/10/2026 19:19

Is it possible that what Harry meant, about how she doesn't have a dad because of him, is because he knew about these allegations and he made her choose between him and her father?

And they didn’t bother telling the then Queen and neither did RAVEC?? Doubt it.

Scorchio84 · 23/10/2026 20:09

Barely catching up on the last thread, these new developments are mind blowing (for me any way!) I have nothing really to add, everything I wanted to say or ask has been articulated far better than I could have conveyed, my likes, thanks & loves attest to this ✊

Cismyfatarse · 23/10/2026 20:11

Do you think Harry knew? Or is he such a plonker that she didn’t tell him either?Maybe she agreed to hush it up because he was liable to blab.

Which makes me wonder. What if he has wanted to come back for ages and she only finally agreed because of this.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 23/10/2026 20:11

AtIusvue · 23/10/2026 19:51

The sun:

‘It is clearly addressed to the Met’s Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC), which deals with risks posed by obsessives to the Royal Family and VIPs.
The letter – which it’s understood has now been shared with police – alleges that Mr Markle had sexually abused a child.

The author also claimed in the letter that Mr Markle had admitted going to the Philippines and Thailand to abuse children.

In fact, it had been sent to the Met’s FTAC stalker and obsessive unit tasked with dealing with deranged maniacs posing a threat to Royals and politicians.
The letter is said to have been an attempt to warn the Met Police about fears over Mr Markle in the wake of the Windsor Castle wedding of Meghan and Harry.’

I mean, this is exactly the area my friend worked in at that time and I am now DYING to ask him about it, but he's far too professional to spill.

AlexandraCarrington · 23/10/2026 20:14

This is something people will start to think about, whether evidence or not because so much doesn’t make sense:

  • He never met Markle between 2016-2018
  • They are claiming this letter came AFTER the wedding. Once Meg had married her Prince.
  • If someone sent you a letter claiming your father committed crimes, you would know the Exact date this happened
  • Claiming it’s the ‘summer’ or ‘weeks’ after the wedding after the wedding looks like its trying to protect them about what they knew and when. If it was known before the wedding, surely there would have been a pause in the wedding plans.

I'm estranged from my father but very close to my father in law. If an allegation such as this was made about him, I would absolutely stand by him until it was proven he was guilty. Not cut him off completely. No Meg, you can't simper out of this one
