The Sun was always used in journalist school as an example of how to write a news article. Take out the tawdriness and the tits, and the skeleton structure of articles was held up as the gold standard.

They certainly madE hay in their hay day but those days have long gone. The Mail seems to have eaten into their core base and to my shame I read that online.
