God, what an awful shower. No wonder MM cut them off. I never bought that 'poor old dad' crap, he always struck me as a belligerent bully.

Well we have the Markles and the Middletons marrying in - good for the bloodlines but a mixed bag for the rest. Imagine marrying into the Royal Family thinking you've hit the jackpot, only to discover your in-laws come with a family business that goes bust owing millions, a brother whose entrepreneurial ventures have had more plot twists than EastEnders, and an uncle who's dealing coke and going on reality tv and that’s the good news side !😂

You really couldn't make this stuff up.

Yes child abuse and legal business dealings are comparable.

Unbelievably sick.

The Sun is now going big on the rift between Meghan and her dad and the 'maybe now people will understand' quote, which made me think about Harry.

If M knew eight years ago before the wedding, then presumably H did too. They are very open with each other – would she not have told him? And was he so blinded by love that he didn't think to forewarn the Royal Family that this might one day surface?

This is why I don't think that quote is from their camp. The questions around who knew and who did nothing about it could be potentially damaging for H&M and I don't think H is seriously that dim he wouldn't have sought counsel on it.

For once I do feel sorry for M, because I think that quote will haunt her when it's not from her.

I just don’t feel she is under any obligation to discuss this publicly based on a random source. Of course she should operate with the authorities.

Not a legal obligation no.

But the suggestion that she knew years ago is potentially damaging to her and I would she is livid about this 'source '.

threetrainers · 23/10/2026 08:45

@StrawberryWasp read the thread if you want to see posters blaming Meghan, you won’t see that in my posts 😆

Mesky · 23/10/2026 08:46

Seen as Andrew’s vile name is again being resurrected as a ‘but Andrew deflection’, Harry and Meghan have never, ever said a negative word about Andrew, in fact, Harry came out to refute two stupid allegations, 1) he punched his uncle 2) Andrew made disparaging remarks about Meghan when they announced their engagement. Harry made a public statement that both of those never happened. It was so left field that it does leave you wondering what is really behind their support for Andrew !

Whereas I would argue it’s far less damaging than what the Royals have done because we know Meghan hasn’t a relationship with her father for years. That is not the same situation re the Royals, Epstein & Andrew.

Meghan will love this. Perfect excuse to say that is why he was not at the wedding! She can play the victim again ....................................................

The wedding was very weird.. the only person Meghan had from her family was Doria. No Markles, nobody from Doria's side, no old neighbours , cousins, old high school friends.. yet they invited the Clooneys who said they didn't know them! The Clooneys had a huge event in London a few weeks ago & Harry & Meghan were left off the guest list...
Compared to Catherine & William's wedding, Catherine invited the whole of Bucklebury ! Meghan just had Doria....

threetrainers · 23/10/2026 08:48

@MeskyI only mentioned Andrew’s name in response to a poster who wanted clarification on what Meghan knew and did about the abuse. I just asked if she had asked the same of Andrew’s daughters. I don’t see that as a deflection 🤷🏻‍♀️

Onebigsham · 23/10/2026 08:49

I don’t think it’s a coincidence this story is being pushed out now, off the back of Harry’s GQ interview where he bangs on about family reconciliation and “some people” not wanting it. Given the Markle Snr situation, he and his wife look like a big old hypocrites. So the Markle propaganda machine may have triggered this SA story to put an end to the suggestion that the jam princess should be making peace with her father too.

StrawberryWasp · 23/10/2026 08:49

Yes it looks like a quote from a simpleton supporter who briefly gleefully thought this was a moment to vindicate M's estrangement from her father. But who didn't have the foresight to understand the implications of such a statement.

There seem to be many such people on this thread...

DorsetKnobBiscuit · 23/10/2026 08:50

He has always seemed 100% wrong 'un to me. Not surprised at all.

Ok.

Nah, she's right. I read the whole exchange, saw you being totally disingenuous and dishonest and then doing the faux-reasonable deflective, time wasting "explain what I did" stuff. Didn't fool her, didn't fool me, didn't fool anyone.

Gosh are you saying some child abuse is not as bad as other child abuse?

What's with all the comparisons?

Can we just agree that in all cases knowledge of child abuse should be reported?
And if it isn't that is wrong?

That was a massive red flag, wasn’t it? The Queen wasn’t happy that pretty much M’s whole family were absent and clearly smelled a rat.

I just cannot get over H’s wish to entangle himself with such a weird lot. Didn’t he realise that M’s estrangement from practically all of them was highly ominous? He was having an affair with M…did he actually need to hitch himself to her?

Hellohelga · 23/10/2026 08:56

TM being a pervert doesn’t exonerate HAMs very public slating of the RF. I feel sorry for her over this but they are separate issues.

Mesky · 23/10/2026 08:58

I would bet my bottom dollar that statement came from their PR guy (or Harry), it’s the kind of shoot from the hip unprofessional and sarcastic statements coming out from them since they fired their PR and media team and are now relying on that one guy. Their statements have become clapbacks and are repeatedly amateurish and unskilled.

As my dear mum used to say, “If ifs and buts were pots and pans, there'd be no need for tinker's hands.” And to add another gypsy metaphor that horse has well and truly bolted.

Meghan is obsessed with optics, it was very surprising she didn't even rent a crew pretending to be family friends & neighbours who watched Meghan growing up😂
It was just plain weird, where were all the people from her pre suits days, Doria's friends?
In comparison to Catherine who had so many family members, neighbours, family friends, old school friends, the whole of Bucklebury.... it looked terrible for Meghan to have literally nobody & as you said a massive red flag...

At the moment from what we know its is the possession of CSAM that is being reported not actual physical abuse. and Samantha the daughter is alleging that Thomas Jnr may have fabricated the evidence.

Exactly Harry & Meghan make a living out of selling murky stories about the royal family..

Superhansrantowindsor · 23/10/2026 09:02

I’m no Meghan fan at all but my goodness I feel very sorry for her right now.
Nobody is responsible for the actions of their parent in situations like this. Poor woman. She must be devastated.

It’s easy to see why Meghan was so jealous of Catherine - her supportive and wholesome family background contrasts cruelly with Meghan’s trashy, blabbermouth lot.

Jimsaidpeoplearestrange · 23/10/2026 09:04

if this is true, then it explains a lot(wonder where the "poor Mr Markle poster is)
no surprise that the HAM posters are trying to find a way that it is Meghans fault.
the same posters who defended the York women.
