DLA WAIT TIMES 2026

Made a new thread as we are very close to reaching the maximum posts allowed

Please post your scan dates etc

NC = New Claim
MR = Mandatory Reconsideration
SC = Scan Date

It’s seems very quiet . I’m still here a long way off I think, desperately waiting on NC scan date 21/08 x

NC SD 6/8 DM has just rang I missed two questions out. He’s currently looking at her claim and said would have decision within 24/48 hours. He has said they have been advised not to send texts no more as it’s confusing people and mistakes have been made. Fingers crossed it’s a good outcome. Good luck everyone

NC. Scan date 31 July. Backpayment received today. I wasn't sure we would get awarded (no gp evidence, no diagnosis and no referrals) so really shocked - but we did include a detailed personal statement of the support we provide and why. OT report and school support plan/emails. I hope others waiting, hear soon.

Congratulations! Can I ask what rate you were rewarded? Your case seems similar to mine. NC Sd 05.08.26

From the backpayment it looks to be mid rate care and low rate mobility - im waiting on letter to confirm. Hope you get a response soon

someone from DLA it’s told me if your not being awarded we will just send a letter and notext x

He hasn’t made his decision yet. Also I didn’t get text my daughter claim either only when they received it. I’m gonna ring either just before 5 or Tom so il update. I’m starting to feel bad now though! I can’t do MR last one drained me x

Hi everyone, sorry to ask but my DD got awarded a couple of weeks ago. I informed UC of the awarded straightaway by the journal but havent heard anything back. How long does it usuallt take to reply and would you get backdated payment from them? X

Hey everyone . I rang DWP 28/07 send form 6/08 , scan date 12/08 . Rang DWP today no decision made and still in the queue . Anyone is similar situation ?

A good three months. But don’t worry it comes as a lovely lump sum. They will add the child to the next payment date but the backdate payment comes randomly a few months later. Xxx

Sorry I understand x I’m just telling you what he said to me on the phone today, we are not giving time frames, if you are awarded the decision maker will send a text and letter (some people don’t get texts) and if you aren’t they will send a letter x I’m not saying you didn’t get awarded, good luck though 🫶🏼

Someone on here recently was paid their backdated pay within a few weeks , so I think it all depends on location and workload etc to be honest

Daughter just rang back and they've now said decision letter was sent yesterday but wouldn't give any details, as they have been told not to

called Friday last week, with a decision maker, same on Friday.
called again today still on decision makers desk apparently she’s working thriving abacklog in date order
goodness knows how long it will be! I’m a wreck

I’ve rang a few times, last being late yesterday afternoon. The lady was more helpful than the last, however just said we needed to wait for a text. I am beginning to think we are unsuccessful. Plenty of evidence sent.

I was told if I haven’t heard anything by next Friday, to check in again…trying not to call until then!
