Some good news to start the week!
The mainstream media might be quiet about it, but the numbers donโ€™t lie: Reform UK just lost SIX by-elections in a single week.

Their momentum is officially hitting a wall. On Thursday, they failed to win across the UK and even lost the incumbent seats they were supposed to defend:

  • Amble Ward (Northumberland) โ€” LOST (Gained by Labour)
  • Hirst Ward (Northumberland) โ€” LOST (Reclaimed by Labour)
  • Claremont Ward (Blackpool) โ€” LOST (Held by Labour)
  • Long Whatton & Diseworth Ward (NW Leicestershire) โ€” LOST (Held by Conservatives)
  • Wick & East Caithness Ward (Highland) โ€” LOST (Stormed by Lib Dems)
  • Forth & Endrick Ward (Stirling) โ€” LOST (Held by Conservatives) about:blank 1, 2]

The right-wing vote is splitting down the middle, squeezing them out in low-turnout battles. Proof that real, local communities are seeing through the rhetoric.

Keep it up lads! ๐Ÿ™Œ

You are condoning them with that reply

Absolutely. And itโ€™s the classic Reform defence. I find it very odd that alleged Tory voters are defending them when Badenoch has taken such pains to distance her party from Reform.

No I'm not. Its a statement of fact. Many people in this country speak and think like those Reform members. Its just not published in the normal news. Its not great obviously.

Im not condoning it. Im acknowledging reality I'm afraid. And the other parties if they want to beat Reform need to deal with it. And they can't deal with it if they don't acknowledge there's a widespread problem here. And why there is a problem.

It is published in normal news, we have seen the riots.

Difference is that this program is about councillors and MPs

Then why is it making the news and why are these Reform members not saying it in public and hiding it when theyโ€™re โ€œvettedโ€?

The riots were a good opportunity for Starmer to deal with the issue. Unfortunately he labelled everyone as far right and made things worse.

Because they will be worried about public opinion. And that NF is presumably trying to get rid of these types of people. Which is a good thing.

He dealt very well with the situation and was right with his description.

He certainly did not deal well with the situation. Millions of people now think there is a two tier justice system skewed against white people. Thats not great. We need everyone to respect the law and the police.

Why would they be worried about public opinion if so many people are saying these things?

Those people are not very bright.

It's a conspiracy theory not a fact

Let's hope that Restore Britain will continue to grow and grow.

Well they will most likely accept any suspended Reform members thereby increasing their representation on local councils.

Exactly

That's why this undercover story is needed. So people know this sort of language is rife in Reform.

He immediately labelled the protesters far right. Without knowing them. And yet we are always told that we cannot speculate on the identity of potential perpetrators of certain other crimes.

The Reform candidates filmed said they were deliberately hiding their plans from the electorate. Do you think that's OK in a democracy? They were conspiring to con people out of their votes.

The whataboutery is strong

All Reform have is 'don't look at us, look over there' and 'we will sue the journalists'

Never mind the racism and sexism.

It really is all theyโ€™ve got to fall back on, thatโ€™s the reason why!

I don't think it's a bad thing it's being exposed.

They didn't make it difficult with their chants and targets.

That's what derailing is, a desperate, pathetic attempt to stop people talking about the topic at hand. It happens a lot on threads about Male violence, misogyny and racism.

But back to the subject at hand, what do you think about Reform's problem with the misogynist, racist, violent men in their ranks @Worrall20?

As stated in my previous comments all misogynistic, racist, child abuse, sex and physical abuse should be called out in any form. You called it minimising it in an earlier post which is quite bizarre. Not sure you can claim Reform have more of these type of males in their party, when you compare with other political parties.
Who is trying to stop people talking about male violence? Have yet to see any posters doing that and it would surely be called out?

That ship sailed some time ago. If so many people are saying it they donโ€™t need the rest of us to vote for them.

Good to have due process followed before announcing the political.affiliation of all the protesters many of whom were there protesting against the Southport killings.

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/10/2026 14:05

So let me get this straight @Worrall20, if this was a thread about a current media expose into MV in Labour or the Greens, you'd be on it saying "but whatabout Reform"?

You mentioned the report into Antisemitism in the Labour Party. There were numerous threads here about it at the time. Did you go onto them with your whataboutery?

And in fact polls show that less people plan to vote for them now than did 6 months ago

Well youre hardly going to are you? And I won't unless the Conservative candidate in my constituency has no hope and a left wing party looks like it will win.
