Can we talk about Laura Gallacher

Ineversaidthatactually · 22/10/2026 10:15

Recorded 4 days ago, a youtube video with the 2 of them sitting in dressing gowns, chatting about their week, complimenting each other on their court appearance outfits and telling each other how good they looked in court, quoting a friend who complimented them on dressing well in court, sharing a laugh together about the week they've had (in court). Laura smiles and laughs.
Something I picked up on, at 3 mins 50 secs, RB says "On Sunday blah blah blah". Laura corrects him and says "Monday". RB says "Did I say Sunday?" Laura says "You did, yeah" RB says "But didn't I say you're watching this on Sunday" Laura says "Oh, maybe you did, sorry" RB says "I'm a pro" Laura laughs and says "ok".
But he DIDN'T say "you're watching this on Sunday". He said "On Sunday" and she was right to correct him.
So here we have a recorded dialogue between the 2 of them where we see RB tell Laura that he just said something completely different to what he actually just said, and she instantly pacifies him by saying "oh maybe you did" (but he didn't) and then she quickly apologises to him and he reminds her that he's the pro. Yet he has just blatantly lied about what he said on film in front of everyone viewing it but cleverly covers his mistake up in a nanosecond and makes her believe that she made a mistake, she is wrong, and she should be reminded that he is the pro (thereby asserting his power over her). This exchange all happened so fast that I had to rewind it and watch again because I thought "Hang on a minute, you did say Sunday, you didn't say what you're telling her you said, you're lying in a split second response, and she's going along with you saying something you didn't say!".
RB covered his mistake up so fast and turned it round on his wife and made her look stupid for getting it wrong and then reminded her he's better than her ("I'm a pro" subtext "You're not"). If he can lie and cover and confuse and coerce this quickly whilst he knows he's being filmed, then no wonder he is easily lying about his crimes.
As females, can we have a discussion about Laura?
Personally, I have been upset and confused to see her walking in to court hand in hand with RB, or with his arm around her shoulders as they walk in. Her display of loyalty is huge. How can she put on such a display of belief in him when he's on trial for rape and sexual assault of 6 women?
Whilst watching this video this morning (filmed on Sunday), I felt a rising anger at her for laughing about the week in court and flattering him with compliments about his court outfits and how good he looked.
But that quickly turned to concern when I saw her accept him telling her she'd mis-quoted him when she hadn't, and then swiftly apologised to him.
So now I don't know what to think about her but I do think there needs to be a discussion on a female forum about this woman supporting her husband on trial for alleged sexual crimes against women.
Even if you can't watch the whole video, please watch the first 4 minutes:

I wonder how many allegations there actually were, 6 have made it to court but I imagine there were more but they don’t all go to trial.

Katy Perry and the big Indian wedding, I feel sorry for her too. Lovebombed from the beginning.

LlynTegid · 22/10/2026 14:33

I agree about the beyond reasonable doubt.

There are times when I have referred to someone not convicted as 'found not guilty' instead of innocent, because I think they committed the crime and it was not found beyond reasonable doubt.

Both Katy Perry and Laura Gallacher probably knew about his behaviour towards Andrew Sachs, which any reasonable woman would have found enough to avoid Russell Brand.

KidsDoBetter · 22/10/2026 14:46

Completely agree. That Sunday service keeps popping up on my FB - annoyingly. I've only watched moments of it it but it's as clear as DAY that she is walking on eggshells and is being controlled. Bearing in mind this is what we see with the cameras rolling ....

It's terrifying to watch and I hope the scales fall from her eyes when (pray to God) he is convicted of at least some if not all of these charges.

Her sister begged her to break up with him when they were first together when she was 19. I can't think that her family were best pleased when they then reunited (the day after she had broken up with a partner and was vulnerable - his favourite kind of woman eh). But due to then staying together, procreating etc they have probably decided they have to ostensibly stick by them etc.

I hope she gets free.

I also believe that in her heart of hearts, at the very least she recognises some of his quirks, sexual predicilitions, moves etc - even if she doesn't believe what he did was non-consensual.

He was allegedly "sober" and "in recovery" during many of the alleged incidents. These are not the actions of a man living in according to the tenets of a higher power etc etc at all. This is a man who swapped substance abuse for the abuse of women.

I don’t think it is without a shadow of a doubt is it? It’s beyond a reasonable doubt or “sure” of their guilt.

I have a feeling he’ll get off anyway, 8 men on the jury.

Men with a daughters might not feel too warmly disposed towards him.

Yes I first thought he would use the 'I was in active addiction' defence, but according to Google he became sober in 2002. The anal rape was in 2007

Who on earth re RB and Laura Gallacher?

AndyouWILLATONE · 22/10/2026 15:10

Clicked the link had to turn it off when he started talking about the trial and how they can't mention it as he wants justice for all involved or words to that effect and it made my stomach turn. He is just so fake and so slimy. Eugh.

nomas · 22/10/2026 15:12

LBFseBrom · 22/10/2026 15:07

Who on earth re RB and Laura Gallacher?

Russell Brand and his equally deluded wife Laura Gallacher and her equally deluded sister Kirsty Gallacher.

ColdLittleHeart · 22/10/2026 15:14

His poor wife, who clearly adores him. I feel nothing but compassion for her. I hope one day she see’s him for what he is and finds freedom and peace away from him. Same goes for their children.

EatingSky · 22/10/2026 15:19

Even with 6 complainants who don’t know each other or their allegations all saying the same thing?

And contemporaneous witnesses confirming they told them the same story at the time/they witnesses behaviour aligned to allegations. Photo evidence aligning with victim’s accusations. Medical healthcare professionals confirming victim sought treatment and said she was raped by him etc etc, There is actually loads of evidence beyond ‘their word against his’. I’m curious to see evidence from the defence.

AndyouWILLATONE · 22/10/2026 15:19

If he gets found guilty who thinks she will leave him? I can't decide if she will or not. What do others think?

TFImBackIn · 22/10/2026 15:20

Well looking at her behaviour at the moment she appears to think he's amazing. I'd save your pity for someone who deserves it, like the poor women he raped.

CountryMouse22 · 22/10/2026 15:23

I have always thought he looked evil. Horrible man. Didn't he and Jonathan Ross poke fun at Andtew Sachs once, needlessly?

I feel like I've seen more threads dissecting Laura than about her husband who is actually on trial.

I think that's because we can put ourselves more in her shoes than we can RB. And we question what we would do if we were in her position.
I wouldn't have got with him in the first place though. He is vile.

Yeah this is all true. And good to know.

I suspect the defence will be gaslighting the women, saying they don’t remember, they wanted it. They’ll bring up inconsistencies in their stories to discredit what they’re saying. I’m keeping up with the trial on a podcast, but I’m actually dreading the defence. It’s going to make me so angry.

Yes I saw that there were 8 men on the jury and thought it was very 'male heavy'

Assuming it's on RB's own YouTube account, please do not click the link - he's making money out of your views, whether you like it or not.

Just the fact they are discussing the court case on a YouTube channel is disgusting! And talking about outfits. No way would I click that link.

Yeah that was horrible! Phoned him up live on air & left lewd messages about his granddaughter’s relationship with Brand. Brand has always been a disgusting predator.

I’ve also been wondering about her and how she can put up with him. But I also think he’s dominant and she is passive to him, and probably been groomed.

something I can’t understand with the trial. I’ve been listening to a podcast where they report back each day going over the witness statements. Obviously all of this is a case of the girls words against his. There no actual evidence.

So how can be deemed guilty? The jurors have to be sure in order to convict, and I don’t see how anyone could be with no evidence?

to be clear, I absolutely think he is guilty and I believe the women. But I’m confused how he can ever be convicted.

Someone giving evidence in court, whether for prosecution or defence, is still "actual evidence". Evidence doesn't have to be physical or forensic evidence etc. In a case like this, it is for the jury to listen to all the evidence presented in court (i.e. what each witness says about what happened) and decide who they believe.

Yarps · 22/10/2026 15:38

I could only manage to watch until the Sunday/Monday thing. I didn't see her as a victim, it just seemed like a normal conversation where they both heard different things.
But the pair of them even mentioning the trial and trivialising it by talking about their outfits is absolutely disgusting.

Ah that’s interesting. And gives me hope he might be found guilty of at least some of the counts. Thanks.

How long has he had this Sunday Service thing going for?

Frodocheerio · 22/10/2026 13:06

To digress a tad, Marina Hyde was interesting on The Rest is Entertainment this week, pointing out it is possible to collapse your own trial with contempt of court, and Brand could well end up doing that depending on the contents of these broadcasts as it goes on. I hope the trial reaches its proper conclusion.

I love watching that! Both have interesting takes on latest news.

If I was scared of a partner on trial I would wait for the incarceration before dumping him.

This was my thought exactly. I am really hoping she is building evidence against him and agreeing to these horrible Sunday videos is part of the set up. Lets hope she has more sense than we are giving her credit for 🙏 He makes me feel sick.
