Can we talk about Laura Gallacher

Ineversaidthatactually · 22/10/2026 10:15

Recorded 4 days ago, a youtube video with the 2 of them sitting in dressing gowns, chatting about their week, complimenting each other on their court appearance outfits and telling each other how good they looked in court, quoting a friend who complimented them on dressing well in court, sharing a laugh together about the week they've had (in court). Laura smiles and laughs.
Something I picked up on, at 3 mins 50 secs, RB says "On Sunday blah blah blah". Laura corrects him and says "Monday". RB says "Did I say Sunday?" Laura says "You did, yeah" RB says "But didn't I say you're watching this on Sunday" Laura says "Oh, maybe you did, sorry" RB says "I'm a pro" Laura laughs and says "ok".
But he DIDN'T say "you're watching this on Sunday". He said "On Sunday" and she was right to correct him.
So here we have a recorded dialogue between the 2 of them where we see RB tell Laura that he just said something completely different to what he actually just said, and she instantly pacifies him by saying "oh maybe you did" (but he didn't) and then she quickly apologises to him and he reminds her that he's the pro. Yet he has just blatantly lied about what he said on film in front of everyone viewing it but cleverly covers his mistake up in a nanosecond and makes her believe that she made a mistake, she is wrong, and she should be reminded that he is the pro (thereby asserting his power over her). This exchange all happened so fast that I had to rewind it and watch again because I thought "Hang on a minute, you did say Sunday, you didn't say what you're telling her you said, you're lying in a split second response, and she's going along with you saying something you didn't say!".
RB covered his mistake up so fast and turned it round on his wife and made her look stupid for getting it wrong and then reminded her he's better than her ("I'm a pro" subtext "You're not"). If he can lie and cover and confuse and coerce this quickly whilst he knows he's being filmed, then no wonder he is easily lying about his crimes.
As females, can we have a discussion about Laura?
Personally, I have been upset and confused to see her walking in to court hand in hand with RB, or with his arm around her shoulders as they walk in. Her display of loyalty is huge. How can she put on such a display of belief in him when he's on trial for rape and sexual assault of 6 women?
Whilst watching this video this morning (filmed on Sunday), I felt a rising anger at her for laughing about the week in court and flattering him with compliments about his court outfits and how good he looked.
But that quickly turned to concern when I saw her accept him telling her she'd mis-quoted him when she hadn't, and then swiftly apologised to him.
So now I don't know what to think about her but I do think there needs to be a discussion on a female forum about this woman supporting her husband on trial for alleged sexual crimes against women.
Even if you can't watch the whole video, please watch the first 4 minutes:

Have a glass of water, touch grass, talk to a human. This is bonkers.

OhBotherSaidPoo · 22/10/2026 10:18

He groomed her. She was a teen when they first met.
I hope one day she realises she's another of his victims as much as all the other women.

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 22/10/2026 10:19

Hopefully he's headed for a prison term long enough for her to free herself from him.

Froughties · 22/10/2026 10:20

It was a mad crazy watch. She is pacifying him the whole way through. He looked really pissed off at her. She just ums and yeses through the whole thing. Completely in bad taste too. Shouldn't be allowed whilst you have an active case.

AgentPidge · 22/10/2026 10:21

Sometimes it can be hard to admit to friends and family that your marriage isn't all sunshine and happiness. It can be hard to admit that you've "failed" in your marriage, and you want to fix it by placating him. Imagine how much harder all this must be if it's played out in the public arena. She's playing a role. One day she'll wake up. I hope she has good support around her when that time comes.

Froughties · 22/10/2026 10:23

She was like a wife not trying to rile her drunk abusive husband. Walking on eggshells and keeping everything nicey nice.

Wewillmeetagainoneday · 22/10/2026 10:23

I think you should focus for the time being on the fact he is the one on trial . Not her.

Unfortunately she is only one in a very long list of women who have unbelievably stood by their famous partners accused of, and found guilty of, disgusting and/ or criminal behaviour

ClearFruit · 22/10/2026 10:24

Jesus Christ, get off YouTube and go for a walk.

thebrowncatisback · 22/10/2026 10:33

There's a thread already. She’s Brand now

Yearss7 · 22/10/2026 10:34

Urgh it’s so icky. The things he says - all of it. I wish I didn’t click the link and give him more views.

So my advice is: don't click the link, people. He doesn’t deserve the views.

Yes she placates him constantly. Although I only watched about four minutes. And didn’t need to watch that. It is as Op says.

thebrowncatisback · 22/10/2026 10:35

I find it distasteful that anyone cares how smart they are. It’s entirely irrelevant

she is sitting there shaking her head in court. She’s as deluded as he is

thestudio · 22/10/2026 10:47

I did notice her letting him correct her even though she was right. But I'm just not reading her as a cowed placating victim, even though that would have been my expectation having seen relationships like that before. I think she's quite assertive and confident (and very annoying) generally.

Tortephant · 22/10/2026 10:49

I was thinking about her and this trial yesterday: I can understand that she would want to be in court to hear all the evidence for herself first hand, as painful as it may be. I seriously admire her for that.

I also respect that, publicly, she is seen to be supporting him through the trial. What she does if found guilty will be more interesting, and perhaps concerning.

This is not easy for her at all.

SergeantWrinkles · 22/10/2026 10:54

He reminds me of my ex. He behaved similarly. When I was in the thick of it, I tied myself in knots to make the cognitive dissonance make sense. The lying comes as easily as breathing.

I agree don't give him views and engagement, i have no idea why she is with him he is disgusting and i hope she divorces him, but i don't think she will born again "Christians" my arse !

The grooming was apparent in that extract when she placated him even know ing he was wrong.

Captainhook3 · 22/10/2026 11:31

She has been groomed - pure and simple. Very sad. Hopefully he'll be locked up and she'll get the help she needs.

Even if you can't watch the whole video, please watch the first 4 minutes:

God no, I'd rather shit in my hands and clap.

Why would it make you feel better if others ploughed through even 4 minutes of that?

puttingoffprocrastinating · 22/10/2026 11:37

Assuming it's on RB's own YouTube account, please do not click the link - he's making money out of your views, whether you like it or not.

Exactly!

boxofshite · 22/10/2026 11:54

I don’t see why she has to be groomed or controlled. She may have been or she might just be a muppet.

nomas · 22/10/2026 12:01

Just watched it OP, you’re right. Also bizarre that he rewinded it (when editing) and didn’t bother correcting it, he repeated the lie.

Also weird that he’s become a lover and arse licker of Tommy Robinson.

BillieWiper · 22/10/2026 12:07

He's such a cunt. He really thinks he's so smart that he can just manipulate anyone and any situation. She must be brainwashed.

Hopefully he's headed for a prison term long enough for her to free herself from him.

He most certainly IS on the way to Wandsworth Prison. He cannot fail to cop some time after all these alleged sexual abuse allegations
