To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

CoventryCity · 22/09/2026 10:14

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

You said my posts were full of errors, and there was claims posted about misinformation too.

But you are stuck on the semantics of the ICO tribunal being a regular court of law.

I think that is about it then, As I said, we need to wait and see.

Yes it’s a part of the U.K. court system not the ICO. Yep that’s about it wait and see.

Personally I couldn't care less if the challenge is happening in court, tribunal, magistrates or supreme, as part of an internal process or whether they're tossing a coin for it.
The pertinent parts you have clarified for me is what exactly is being disputed and why. Which makes it very clear there is no 'cover up'.

It does matter which as the outcome will be legally binding. The ICO rejected Labour’s claims on costs and data.

It takes more effort and cost to appeal than publish.

Interesting that you’d do this. I’ve seen posts re people using AI in this way on specific posters.

Probably better to try to counter without this.

shecanbe · 24/09/2026 11:30

I've said all I have to say.
I do think OP could just ask her questions on an AI forum. Rather than just posting articles on here - get AI to assess the overall evidence for her instincts / views about migrants.

Ok goodo re the first part. The AI rendition is unnecessary but you’ve put it up now.

shecanbe · 24/09/2026 11:38

This OP could just ask an enhanced AI to review all evidence on migrants/ sex crimes and totally avoid all of this.

Agree.

Although to be clear, I have never stated it is not a cover up. To me it looks to be just the normal process. And I will say, that there is a connection between the FOI request and the amendment to the sentencing bill that Reform proposed. As in, Reform knew it would be voted against. So performative. A shared agenda there.

And as I said a few pages up, It's odd that Richard Jenrick is on the bandwagon, he was in Government after all. In the Home Office no less. So he could have had the data added to the "to be published" list.

I found this. It is out of date. But it is a list of Tribunal cases. And wow, that is an awful lot of cover ups, if that is what they are. And with that many, it looks to me that they are not coverups.

Information rights appeals: Register of tribunal cases - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

I can certainly see the case from the Government point of view. In terms of privacy etc.

Your list will be citizens too.

For the gov it’s rare they don’t accept the ICO and usually they lose as the tribunal goes for maximum transparency.

The specific figures for the number of times government departments have appealed to the tribunal across the last few years highlight how rare it is:

  • Under 5% appeal rate: This means the government chooses to accept the ICO's transparency rulings—even if they dislike them—more than 95% of the time, opting for a costly legal battle only in exceptional circumstances.

Historically, when central government departments take a case to the tribunal, they lose approximately 60% to 70% of the time.

What post below ? As a matter of interest, does your device scroll from bottom to top with post order ?

Anyway. " Internal process" is just a term I used. Yes the ICO has enforcement power, and the power of a court to act on that, but it is not a court where you will find yourself if caught speeding.

Semantics I know, and if you don't like the term "internal process" then feel free to use your own.

Keep up the excellent posts. Many thanks.

This is interesting. Yorkshire Police have responded to a FoI request asking about sex crimes nationalities. Yorkshire Police has a background in all this after all, so they’ve done the right thing for once.

We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA):

Please could you provide me with a breakdown of the nationalities of foreign nationals arrested for alleged sexual offences since 1 January 2024.

Our Response:
Please see the table below showing Charges for rape and sexual assault, for all non-UK nationals, 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024.

Not had time to look at this in detail yet, but the table is interesting.

@RedTagAlan appears open to factual information and adaptable with evidence.

They don't keep repeating the same selective debunked and nonsensical posts repeatedly without growth or learning and understanding..

BIWI · 24/09/2026 12:07

Sorry - I misread that table. Does 'all nationalities' therefore mean UK plus non-UK? Or do we have a separate figure for UK only?

If they have similar comparative figures from the MoJ I can see why they’re spending on an appeal rather than releasing.

This didn’t reach the press but the MoJ data would.

It is. It shows the vast number of offences are committed by non-foreign nationals. This is not the exact same 12 months but no reason to think the figures wouldn't be broadly similar:

Between 1 September 2023 and 30 September 2024, there were 11,075 crimes recorded that were not subsequently cancelled and were classified as sexual offences.

Do I want to change anything ? Did I say that ?

Nope. Actually, my interest is truth, and debating against misinformation. That is why I used to debate flat earthers. Although you dismissed that as irrelevant, then accused me of posting misinformation.

Have you noticed that I do not post conclusions without also posting evidence, and a bit of reasoning, that leads to any conclusions I make ?

I wont say things such as you did above, quote" It takes more effort and cost to appeal than publish.". Because where did the data for that come from?

I have not said if I think there is a coverup or not. I am just collecting information, and posting it. It seems this is normal procedural stuff with this FOI request. Me saying that is not me reaching a conclusion and stating it.

Some posters on the other hand, do appear to have a conclusion no matter what. And any info posted that might challenge that conclusion, is dismissed as misinformation.

Ad Hominems are par for the course.

You’ve accepted it’s the first tier tribunal already, that it’s not an internal review and that you were muddled on that. Plus all there is to do is wait and see.

Fortunately the tribunal favours transparency even if Labour and supporters dislike that.

It looks more likely they’ll have to publish but we’ll see.

Well. The whole labour voting against the Farage amendment thing appears to have been dropped. That is something where it comes to truth surely ?

As for the semantics about internal or external. Carry on as you please. I already thanked you for the correction.
