I have no idea about this place Piddington but, you know, such is life. Places change. I'm in a Lib Dem constituency but it's London and, to be perfectly honest, these men would just blend in and not be noticeable amid the general ebb and flow of people in the streets. People wouldn't be that bothered.

When people in villages complain about - "But we don't know who they are!!!! yadda yadda," well, no you don't. But do you actually know who anyone is? What about tourists? Literally anyone from anywhere could be staying or passing through your village at any time and you "don't know who they are" either do you? Any tourist could litter your villages, or be anti-social or potential rapists. Literally anyone on any given day. And you'll never track them down. Tourism changes the character of villages too, doesn't it? Should the good people of villages like Piddington also be banning tourists? What about through traffic - I mean this could be anyone?

Piddington people have an opportunity here if they want to take it. Rather than getting wound up GBNews style, that they're all bound to be 'rapists' they could proactively go and meet these migrants. Just an idea? Try talking to them. Actually find out their individual stories and what brought them here. They might be surprised. They might not. But at least it's better than being force fed an agenda by GB News and whipping yourselves into a frenzy.

No I'm not a 'leftie.' Didn't even vote Labour. Understanding that people are individuals, wherever they come from, does not mean you are a 'leftie.' This kind of comeback is so boring and predictable.

I'm just saying, if people went and actually talked to these migrants they could find out for themselves 'what their intentions are.' Rather than this stereotyping and hysteria that 'they are all' this or that. Find out for yourselves. Don't just mindlessly swallow the current insidious media agenda. It's largely a distraction.

What is needed is to see what can be done about the countries these people are leaving. war, poverty, lack of education, work. Yes, it's a huge problem. And then the people who are behind all the boats - making a profit from desperate people living in poor circumstances.

There is a major common denominator in all the countries in question - we just aren't meant to talk about it. Religion is first and foremost, not building and progressing infrastructure, as Israel discovered.

If people are so whipped up and chanting the latest line, "but we don't know who they are..." - well, why are you not protesting about the hundreds of thousands of students who come here all the time. They could be "young men of fighting age from cultures different to our own" (to use the Reform lingo). What about tourists? Millions of them? Should we ban them as well because we don't know their 'intentions.' Are tourists or students somehow less likely to be rapists?
