I am not a resident of Piddington but if I was I would have no problem with it. Immigration has always brought culture and breathed new life into our stale neighbourhoods. New food, new traditions to celebrate, new wonderful languages to be introduced to. What's not to like?

Why would it be a joke? Where do you want refugees to be housed? Surely fresh air and open countryside will be beneficial to them? Would the people of Piddington be so up in arms if the refugees were put somewhere like Milton Keynes?

Most people claiming asylum and seeking refuge in the UK come from Pakistan, Eritrea, Iran, Sudan, and Afghanistan.

General demographics: Researchers from groups like the Migration Observatory note that asylum seekers are statistically more likely to be young men—a demographic group that has a higher representation in general crime statistics regardless of nationality or background. We have enough of our own.

Would prefer families not young men.

Undocumented ? Surely they are documented before moving in to the facility ?

and over the last few decades it is the immigrant population who has consistently paid more in tax than they take in benefits - unlike the born here population

Once a large number of single males arrive they realised the potential problems coming. Is that a reason to just take more and more males

Just deport than back to their own countries. What the issue with that? If they want to come on a work visa there are processes in place for that. If they are seeking asylum then we’re full. Not taking any more. Sorry. It’s not ‘racist’ it’s just that we don’t have the money or housing to support any more people.

We need the labour government to start sticking up for what the population wants. It’s not in our best interests to take all of these people. Why are we still doing so? The Danish socialists have incredibly strict immigration policies because the left wing government respects the need to protect public services for their citizens who rely on them. It’s a shame the UK government doesn’t think likewise. They’re handing votes to Reform by ignoring people’s concerns.

I feel like this forum has been targeted by Reform and all the right wing cronies who so far have failed to get the more intelligent gender on board with their rhetoric.

Hopefully Labour ministers will work on legislation to restrict anti immigration talking points on public platforms before it spreads amongst the lower classes.

Where do you suggest we put them ?

Not a HMO (flag wavers have done away with those)
Not hotels (flag wavers tried to burn those down)
Not near schools (as they are all sex offenders)
Not in City Centres (large groups makes women uncomfortable)

We aren’t going to build anywhere, it would take too long and be too expensive. Reusing vacant government owned buildings seems to make sense.

So where do they go ?
