To almost feel a shred of sympathy for Tommy Robinson

He did a debate against Oxford university students recently.

His entire argument was destroyed. Every single point. Even Jacob Rees Mogg had to comment on how stupid he was.

It’s exposed what he really is - an ignorant, uneducated man who is so gripped by fear caused by a misunderstanding of the world around him, and it’s almost made me feel sorry for him. People like him have been failed - by society, by the education system, and by the people around them.

Really don’t get how a man who’s clearly intellectually very savvy and has demonstrated an ability to drum up real hatred and mass demonstrations over the years as well as physical violence and aggression, destruction of property, waste of police resources to deploy extra security when they cause damage, no accountability towards his own actions of hatred and the attacks towards Muslims and anyone that could appear Muslim or anyone that is brown or even appears to be illegal.

If he was brown, or “foreign” or appears Muslim (even though anyone can be Muslim - it’s not a race) and had the same views and generate the same level of aggression would you feel sorry for him then? That’s your answer and also tells you how biased you are.

It’s disturbing 41 people agreed with the motion who attend the university.

But your first and third paragraphs don’t connect.

It’s like saying it’s disturbing that some people agree with veganism even after you’ve pointed out that Hitler did terrible things. The motion stands or falls on its merits. It doesn’t switch from true to untrue (or v.v.) because of what TR says or does.

You think he is racist,bigoted and violent because he was "failed" somewhere? I mean Lawrence fox has the same views and he is privately educated and privileged! No i think your sympathy should be directed elsewhere.

Not to forget Nigel Farage whose father was a wealthy stockbroker and Farage went to Dulwich college. No excuses.They are racists through and through

Ive always found it odd that him and fungal farage do really seem to dislike eachother
I wonder if it's anything to do with old fungal having a more privileged background, as they are both two turds together who have nothing good about them and to my mind yet they both speak the same language.
You'd have thought they'd be picking the scabs off eachothers backs........
