To almost feel a shred of sympathy for Tommy Robinson

He did a debate against Oxford university students recently.

His entire argument was destroyed. Every single point. Even Jacob Rees Mogg had to comment on how stupid he was.

It’s exposed what he really is - an ignorant, uneducated man who is so gripped by fear caused by a misunderstanding of the world around him, and it’s almost made me feel sorry for him. People like him have been failed - by society, by the education system, and by the people around them.

TR cited various acts and sayings drawn on the Quran or hadith that to modern secular ears are barbaric (treatment of homosexuals, those who have sex outside marriage, child marriage, treatment of prisoners of war, cleansing Muslim lands of Jews and Christians), in support of the argument that we should be 'suspicious' of Islam.

Have you read "The Bible" ?

The Bible is made up of two distinct books.

The New Testament ( the Holy text for Christianity) does not mention homosexuality or child marriage or any of those things you mention.
It does refer to an incident when a woman was sentenced to death for adultery but Jesus stopped it by reminding those present that everyone is guilty of something.

Why are you trying to play the race card?

Why are you trying to play the race card?

Because they don’t know the difference between race and nationality. Nor do they understand the dictionary definition of bigot. Which is ironic really.

chocoluv · 03/08/2026 10:36

Why are you trying to play the race card?

If anyone from the 'right' said 'in this country we do or don't x' they would be accused of racism..

Yet someone who hates TR says it and it's all fine.

I'm pointing out the hypocracy.

Let me try and make it simpler for you

You said that 15 million muslims had arrived in the UK in the last 30 years

The current UK muslim population is about 4,5 million [UK census]

So what has happened to the other 10.5 million [15 - 4,5 million]?

You said that 15 million muslims had arrived in the UK in the last 30 years

No, I didn't. I was responding to a comment about the globalisation of the population in Britain. You have added the word muslim into the quote, I didn't write that.

yes he did put the spotlight on the grooming gangs and highlighted that this was warned about by Sikh community as well

No he didnt.

For 15 million people to have arrived here in 30 years they would have to make up pretty much the entire number of people who are foreign born. To put it another way that means almost all of the people not born in the UK would have had to arrive here in the last 30 years. So no-one still alive today arrived in the UK before 1996? If you look at the population age that seems unlikely. Or, reverse it and consider that of all the total foreign born population of the UK about half arrived in the last 30 years. Which means the total number of foreign born people in the UK would have to have be twice your number of 15 million - 30 million or half of the UK total population. But that's not the case. As the other poster said but this confused you.

That's before you consider that of all the people in the UK who are foreign born every single one of them has to be a foreign born Muslim who arrived in the last 30 years to make what you said true.

And that's before you consider that the actual total number of Muslims in the UK is about 4.5 million and that number includes Muslims who were born here.

I would be interested in where you got your number of 15 million...

I wasn't talking about muslims. The word muslim wasn't in the sentence I wrote.

I never vote in the polls, what is it saying?

Don't ask strangers to do what you refuse to.
It's a tad rude and entitled.

Not if they were pointing out that this isn’t the USA. As I said, you clearly don’t understand the difference between race and nationality.

How many sharia courts currently exist in the UK and why is the answer not 'zero'?

About as many as there are kangaroo courts, I imagine. They've got the same legal standing too.

I know i can vote and find out what the percentage says. You said it was interesting, I thought you might expand on why. Guess not.

What about you do your own thing and rediscover the use of the word "please"?
Even if you do, I am going to decline engaging with you further btw, I'm not your forum maid.

He knows exactly what he is doing, I doubt he even believes most of the shite he spouts
He is paid a LOT of money by some very dodgy people who want to cause unrest in our country and if he died tomorrow someone else would take his place

JesseDavisGonnaHangOnInThereNSoul · 03/08/2026 12:34

Didn't he have a day out at the Kremlin with Musks dad.
Why would patriotic ten names be at the Kremlin.

And that's another man with quite serious allegations against him as well. For a crusader against rape he sure hangs out with some interesting people....

MrsBunny2018 · 02/08/2026 16:28

I can't say I have strong feelings for Tommy Robinson either way. It does baffle me, however, how people can have more hatred for him than the perpetrators of the rape and torture gangs that he has spoken out about- I doubt most could even name the convicted rapists without googling them first. What a weird world we live in

His actions risked resulting in rapists going free. He's been done for contempt of court several times.

He was chilling with his Russian Neo Nazi mates, the Brotherhood of Academists.
