I see this multiple times a day and it makes me wonder if people pronounce it "ekt" when they speak.

I would never correct someone's grammar/spelling on here but since we're having a petty rant!

Yes YABU because it's a boring and repetitive thread.

The people who make that mistake are not suddenly going to stop because someone has started yet another thread about it.

And in AIBU instead of Pedants' Corner.

Then they’re pronouncing it incorrectly.

YANBU and it pisses me off! The word is etcetera so it makes zero sense for people to use ect instead of etc!

weirdly though my phone did not auto correct the wrong spelling there…

Considering the long version is etcetera, it should be obvious however I have heard multiple people who exetera.
