Yes! For weeks.

Whyherewego · 18/10/2026 17:39

Yes I cracked today as well !

ethelcarter65 · 18/10/2026 17:39

Ours is on. Been off and on a couple of weeks, every now and then we have a random warm day.

Sweetesttabboo · 18/10/2026 17:40

Not yet, trying to stick it out until November 1st at least.

Toastandjam16 · 18/10/2026 17:41

Went on 1st October

sanityisamyth · 18/10/2026 17:41

Nope! Was sleeping in a tent last night when it got down to 5 degrees. Nothing that a few layers didn’t solve.

CherryKerry · 18/10/2026 17:43

Yeah, for the last 2 months!

LondonLass2026 · 18/10/2026 17:46

Hot water bottles for now. I'll crack soon.

SquigglePigs · 18/10/2026 17:47

Yes. It's been pretty cold overnight the last week or so, so we've needed it in the mornings.

Arlanymor · 18/10/2026 17:50

Depends whereabouts you are located I would have thought. I'm in Abertawe/Swansea and no - I went out for a walk around the marina earlier in a coat, but took it off halfway through as was warm enough without it. It's colder at night, but not too cold that my pyjamas can't withstand it. I'll turn it on when I need to, but not there yet.

Same. But it’s bloody freezing today!

Ohhelpwhatnow · 18/10/2026 17:51

I had it on 3 times in October, for a couple of hours each time.

FrustratedApples · 18/10/2026 17:52

No. One person has a hot water bottle though and we are almost at the point of not leaving windows on the catch at night.

Dearg · 18/10/2026 17:52

Technically , mine has not been off this year , I just let the thermostat take care of things. But it has come on of its own accord in the last month . And it was 3c this morning at breakfast time ( NE Scotland )

Silverbirchleaf · 18/10/2026 17:52

since yesterday due to temperature drop.

DinoLil · 18/10/2026 17:53

Not yet. In the SE and it's apparently 13 degrees atm. Windows and doors still open. Not wearing a coat to go out yet.

But I am of a certain age...!

gingercat02 · 18/10/2026 17:54

Ours is on a hive thermostat. It goes off properly in the summer but its on again now. Comes on at 19°C, its only 9°C outside here.

Fuschiagreen · 18/10/2026 17:54

Yes - comes on via thermostat so been on and off for a couple of weeks

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/10/2026 17:54

Yup. No fucks given, if I need it on, on it goes!

MigGirl · 18/10/2026 17:55

Ours never gets turned off, just leave it upto the thermostat. It's come on a couple of times this week for the first time. Mainly in the evenings as its gotten a bit cooler overnight now.

EasternStandard · 18/10/2026 17:56

Yes it’s on

Carjuke · 18/10/2026 17:58

Heating definitely on here . Am on sofa with a dog and fleece blanket plus heating. Couldn’t give a toss what the date is TBH !

Ooodelally · 18/10/2026 17:59

Yes, but only because I have an elderly dog and I was worried about her getting chilled. If it was just us humans it would have been out in another layer and get on with it!

blankcanvas3 · 18/10/2026 17:59

Thermostat comes on if it goes below 21degrees in babies room which it has done on and off for a couple of weeks now

AuroraBloom · 18/10/2026 18:00

Yes it's been on. I go by how cold the house is,not the date.
