London and the South East are basking/suffering in 28°C heat this week, and whether you’re loving or hating it, knowing when temperatures are likely to drop will help you plan your activities and outfits for next week.

Meteorologists at the Met Office estimate temperatures will drop down to a more comfortable 24°C on Saturday, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday set to be marginally cooler with some cloud cover. Longer-range forecasts predict pleasantly summery temperatures in the mid-20s throughout the first half of August, so fingers crossed the sunshine comes through for us as the school holidays roll on.
