From the author
"What inspired me to write this story was when my son was eight. We were walking home from school and he told me he didn’t like lunchtime because it made him feel lonely. All his friends played football and because he didn’t feel he was up to their standard, he wandered around the playground on his own.
As a parent, you just want to make things better for your kids, don’t you? So I wrote a short story about a nine-year-old who was allergic to football, and the silly things he did to avoid it. My son really took to the character and wanted to read more. Thankfully, he also found some friends who didn’t play football!"
