Dress however you please.
Call yourself whatever you like.
Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you.
Live your best life in peace and security.
But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real?

To start off thread 2 - everyone saying the time was right for this to hit the news stands right after the Election was right!

Maya Forstater's Employment Tribunal case is, by virtue of JK Rowling's support, more popular in The Spectator than Boris Johnson by Boris Johnson, The Tories and The Labour Party!

MOST POPULAR in The Spectator

1. In just a few words, JK Rowling has changed the transgender debate (James Kirkup)

  1. Boris Johnson: Perhaps my campaign was ‘clunking’. But sometimes, clunking is what you need (Boris Johnson)
  2. We’ve just had the best decade in human history. Seriously (Matt Ridley)
  3. Keir Starmer looks and sounds middle class precisely because he’s working class (Isabel Hardman)
  4. Let’s make David Lammy Labour’s next leader (Rod Liddle)
  5. A new leader won’t stop the far left’s domination of Labour (Nick Cohen)

Duh! I forgot to include the link to the article in The Spectator!

I know this has been posted in Thread 1 but it is worth repeating! Smile

Getting further traction from The Specator Parody Account by "Jarvis Dupont" being mistaken for the real thing by The Advocate, which has castigated Ricky Gervais for responding "sarcastically" to Jarvis on Twitter! Grin

J.K. Rowling is a TERF!

Well done. 173.8k likes so far.

I love the way people are now imaginarily feeling excluded from Hogwarts 🤣🤣

To take this further, why were the boys in a separate room in Gryffindor Tower? Why weren’t Fred, George, Harry, Ron, Neville, Seamus, Dean etc, all sleeping in the same boarding school bedroom as Ginny and Hermione? Do these trans HP fans think that if they went to Hogwarts, and they were sorted by the Sorting Hat, then Professor McGonagall would tolerate males in the same bedroom as females? Of course not! Because McGonagall knows the importance of SEX segregation, particularly with pubescent teenagers.

Maybe these trans wizards could have their own third space in the Room if Requirement. I mean, it’s perfect, the name says it all doesn’t it?

I can’t believe this is where we are at with the level of intellect in this argument 😆😆😆

Yay JK
Reading twitter but so tired of all the TRA nonsense. It’s the same old rubbish rehashed, memes, videos...just bored of it. It’s all crap and purely for distraction. Keep it simple. Male, female the end.

I’m so happy about this.

Hasn’t improved my sleep though.

I loved that quiz.

Ravenclaw, with Dr Jane Clare Jones as head of house....thank you very much, T*RF sorting hat!

I remain very much buoyed by JKR's intervention in the debate.

Making myself at home on the new thread, because I am nowhere near done sending support to the fabulous Ms Rowling.

I adore JK Rowling for this. But reading through some of the stuff on Twitter, dear gods.....I am so sick of this bullshit

Had a scroll through Instagram earlier. I knit and the woke designers and yarn dyers have imploded over this. The wokest of them are telling dyers who have Harry Potter inspired yarn and patterns to use this to Do Some Good as there are *fs among us and TWAW. Others are giving the proceeds of their Harry Potter ranges to mermaids. The list of people I won’t buy yarn and patterns from continues to grow. The yarn I already have can go on eBay and the money goes to Maya’s crowdfunder

Maya and JKR - I'm sending you more support today. Thank you again for taking a stand.

The TRAs are predictible, but the media (with the usual exceptions of The Spectator, The Times, Julie B, JHB) needs to get a grip on reality. This will impact on them, the removal of speech, McCarthyism.

'It is my belief…that the truth is generally preferable to lies,' Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

For Twitter this is old news now, yet still the likes keep mounting up.
What can I say?
She did good.
And as yet it's not been deleted (my God she has power)
I live in hope that this will turn the tide.

Loving the amount of support Maya’s crowdfunder has.

Slung a bit of festive largesse that way again myself this morning Grin

Hark ye terven witches sing,
Glory to JK Rowling!

In terms of the imaginary world and dormitories, I can imagine that a fair few gender-confused fans daydream about a potion that would literally transform them into the opposite sex AND retrospectively give them the right socialisation. The thing is, they can still fantasise about that, and whatever they like. It's a make-believe world.

The ONLY thing JK Rowling has defended in the real world in that tweet is freedom of speech and thought on this topic. She hasn't made transphobic comments, made death threats, or said anyone's excluded from Hogwarts.

You'd think she'd gone on a murderous rampage from their response.

Checking in. Twitter highlighted a 'one person explains why Rowling is wrong' story yesterday. Very interesting wording.

Can you imagine the woke bods at Twitter desperately trying to square a circle?

Manipulating news feeds, removing likes, changing trending hashtags to fit their pro trans, anti woman narrative.

If they ban JKR (as they would with any other woman) then the world will know what raging misogynists they are.

Charlie Booker did a Black Mirror episode on social media set in Silicone Valley - he wasn't wrong about the control those males have.

I'm so proud that JK has not removed this tweet. We have seen others forced into capitulation. Like Maya, JK is a tower of strength. Thank you.

Thanks god there's a thread two. Thanks!

After the this is not a drill post towards the end of the last one, I do wonder if Jk posts among us...?!

And to reiterate what Datun said on the last page, please find out what's going on in UK schools. Safe Schools UK are doing Stirling work, as a teacher I'm increasingly shocked at what I'm seeing around the country.

Wear what you want - but young girls particularly are under pressure to bind, damage their rib cages and posture and even get mastectomies.

I've just seen that Ricky has finally put right said it (sarcastically) which is great, but I can't but ponder on the fact that he could have done so earlier. JK is of course getting more flack. I suppose it's possible the flack is the tipping point.

Checking in! I've been caught up in the Christmas rush now, and not had time to read all of the last thread - the reaction on twitter is as though she had called for mass killings. Honestly, a ridiculous over-reaction. Still not managed to ratio her though...

And horrible treatment of Amanda Abbington - who the hell is the "StatsBrittain" account? They're horribly aggressive. Amanda has gone private - and deleted her tweets, but she has kept her likes - which are of gc tweets Smile I stand with you, Amanda Thanks

These fans think they own JKR and Amanda, don't they? Whining on that they "grew up with HP" and "I loved you in Sherlock!" - honestly - she's an actress, you don't own her!

Speaking of Charlie Brooker and other celebs who regularly tweet, its interesting how many have stayed silent on a huge trending topic where they could have proven their Wokeness.

Do you think that most PR agencies are advising being quiet rather than getting involved? Or just that they don't care or know about it?

That's a thought, Fuckity.
I had been feeling rather sad how few blue ticks have actually come out on JK's side, but the fact that relatively few as far as I can see have joined in the mobbing must be significant.
