Yes it's really sinister. At the same time as pride has gone mainstream and corporate, a group of people for whom pride was originally designed try to protest about their experience of homophobia and are asked to leave.

These actions are considered cultural genocide when directed against indigenous peoples;

(d) Any form of assimilation or integration by other cultures or ways of life imposed on them by legislative, administrative or other measures;
