Yes, well, for India Willoughby anything that challenges their world view is scary.

AfterSchoolWorry · 02/05/2018 12:15

Worried for her life! Mauled to death by slavering mums.

iklboo · 02/05/2018 12:16

Yep, that's about it.

Bloomed · 02/05/2018 12:17

Science is terrifying

SuitedandBooted · 02/05/2018 12:23

I don't think general knowledge, science and history are her strongest points...
She would, however, secure a Masters in Exaggeration, Entitlement and Narcissism. Having seen the NUS Trans conference thread, I think that is probably a compulsory subject now!

KateMiddleton1965 · 02/05/2018 13:27

"a Masters in Exaggeration, Entitlement and Narcissism". Hilarious! It really is amazing how crazy this whole thing is. Goodwin V The UK in
2002 was only for fully achieved post surgery transsexual people.

The industrial medical abuse is the real problem that needs addressing.

Only a Masters? I think a PhD is warranted: India has made a unique contribution to those fields.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 13:29

"Do you have your masters in narcissism?" would be a great screening question for reality TV contestants.

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 02/05/2018 13:32

I was posting on another thread & realised that India's initial view of MN - what was it, somewhere women talk about prams & make-up remover? must be how India (and a lot of the trans community?) view c*s women. It makes the term even more insulting.

Happy to spell fuck, shit, wankbadger etc out in full. But I'm going to asterisk c*s from now on.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 13:34

I wash makeup off with soap in the shower. Womaning wrong once again!

EmpressOfJurisfiction · 02/05/2018 13:35

I don't wear makeup OR shave my legs. I don't wear heels either.

jugglingsatsumas · 02/05/2018 13:39

The Sunday Times, Daily Mail and – wait for it – Mumsnet – are hounding trans women in the same way Hitler went about stigmatising Jewish people.

Seriously. That’s no exaggeration.

That's no exaggeration? Seriously? That is seriously offensive. No exaggeration.Hmm

IJustHadToNameChange · 02/05/2018 13:39

I shave my armpits in summer, for my hyperhidrosis.

If I didn't, none of my three antiperspirants would stick.

Clearly womaning completely wrong.

Need a man to show me what to do, obviously.

Pity I'm asexual.

Does IW do deportment and femininity lessons?

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 13:44

See other thread in which IW seems to think that the Star of David was invented by the Nazis purely to stigmatize Jewish people for extra are you serious with this shit points.

KatherinaMinola · 02/05/2018 13:56

That's an incredibly misogynistic article.

The Sunday Times, Daily Mail and – wait for it – Mumsnet

Yes, Mumsnet! Mums! With pinnies on! And hair curlers! And shopping trollies!

The tabloids are no surprise, but Mumsnet?

Yes! Mums! With (etc)

Mumsnet CEO Justine Roberts squeals

Last week was my first ever visit to Mumsnet. Honestly, I thought it was going to be lots of stuff about prams, or family-related matters. A sort of online This Morning minus Phil and Holly.

Yes, mums! Cos that's all mums talk about - prams! Phil and Holly! God love 'em and their silly pretty heads.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 13:58

You'd think if we were doing mummy stereotypes India would remember that children do need to be fed occasionally too...

Ah, yes, because that's what ALL women/mums do. Remind me again which sex is more socially conditioned to think that?

RunRabbitRunRabbit · 02/05/2018 14:16

I don't think it has occurred to IW that many mums have careers. Lawyers, scientists, policiticans, celebs, engineers, company directors, journalists, clinicians and all the rest are right here on MN.

Says a lot about IW's view of the worth of a woman who happens to have given birth. And thus IW's perception of what it is to be a woman. It seems the best ones are young, childless, dress to appeal to porn-loving men, highest aspiration is to be side-kick on a TV sofa. Hmm

Bloomed · 02/05/2018 14:44

And many people here aren't mums ...

Writersblock2 · 02/05/2018 14:45

How many people could India offend in one article? I suspect the tally is up there.

Nazis? Nuremberg? Seriously? Has India actually researched the atrocities committed during WWII? But no, apparently women daring to discuss issues they face is on par with the Holocaust. Absolutely, completely, and utterly disgraceful.

Also, wtf re. "mum stereotypes"? Women, know your place!

Writersblock2 · 02/05/2018 14:45

@Bloomed - this!

IJustHadToNameChange · 02/05/2018 16:57

Clearly, no one is as oppressed as a transexual/transgender/drag artist who is stamping 'her' not so little feet and demanding we all call him "her". Don't you know that yet you silly woman?

We need to go back to playing Pram Top Trumps and let the menfolk discuss our futures......

I'll switch the sarcasm mode off, shall I?

Writersblock2 · 02/05/2018 17:39

Grin You probably should. What with our lady brains and all, we might not understand it.

PutTheChocEggDown · 02/05/2018 17:50

I am actually really shocked at that. Genuinely appalled. What's worse is that her armies of hangers on will be nodding and agreeing. Is that actually how people like IW see the world? That anyone who disagrees with their blinkered worldview is a threat to be ridiculed and shut down?

I know who's acting more like a Nazi and it ain't MN!
