Landing with both feet.. Thanks Cherries
Hush cord wide legs arrived , they are really heavyweight and good for winter .. .. . I'm not keeping though because they were really 'just to see' and the winter problem of what to wear with them on my feet would bother me.

Would be good for workwear though but I have made a decision on my leaving date, (end Nov)...so I wont be at work in winter!! Smile

Thank you @ilovecherries a shiny new thread Smile

@gin thanks for the tips, I'll try SM first. I did pay by credit card, do you think I should just contact my credit card company and see what they can do?

soups, I’m still trying to decide re jackets. Maybe I should send both back, but they are such a bargain, especially the longer one, which is a third of the original price. I’m having a bit of a mental issue with the whole coats thing. For years, between my wheelchair and my obesity, I only ever had one jacket - a mans XL gortex walking jacket. Now I want ALL the coats but my sensible mind is saying I need only one - which I already have. But I’ve seen about 6 that I would like, and it’s still summer!

Its a hard choice @cherries but I honestly think you suit the shorter one best. It really looks good. The other is less structured. If it were me though I would keep the coat because a jacket like that wouldn't be useful so it depends upon what you will wear the most.

cherries buy them all, life to short to have just one coat😂 also you live in a place that has extremes of weather, you need different coats.

Kitten is such a cutie! As is your ds @Ellapaella. Very sweet in his uniform :)

Yeah, they have different purposes. I’d the Chanel style one lightweight enough to wear indoors in place of a cardigan? That’s how I’d see myself wearing it, maybe between places on a slightly chilly but dry day. The other one is more of a proper coat as I see it. So depends what else you have in those niches already. Or if there’s room for a new clothing niche in your life.

cherries they are both very nice jackets. Personally I prefer the longer one but can see that both would be equally useful. If it helps, I hardly ever go out ( I care for my DD who is bedbound) but I have a few coats and bought a leather jacket recently which I have always wanted. I feel that part of looking after myself is getting back to caring about how I look and dress. I have a practical Merril waterproof and an old Hobbs wool work coat and a French Connection puffa coat ( very useful for trips in the ambulance!) and a short down jacket so I don't need the leather at all but it makes me feel very happy.

People if you want Clarks boots for autumn, TREAT20 gets you 20% off..
Smile
I have gone for these hoping that if I ever get back into my leather leggings ( they fit , but I do look a bit sausage-y in them atm) they will go well with them.. my last year pair of suede ones split sadly (not Clarks) .
I have also replaced my sveral years old orinoco spice ones lI like the new shiny leather option this year

Definitely Autumn-y here today , been raining all night and I have another building site visit!1 ( yuk mud) ..am pleased to discover after a summer of free-flowing clothes that my jeans still fit though!

Len we may need that 'meeting' still , you never know.. Its getting quite exciting..

Where is everyone? It's very quiet. laska I wish I'd seen that Clark's code yesterday as I've had my eye on a pair of patent black brogues for work for ages but can't really afford £55 at the moment so ended up ordering a cheaper pair elsewhere. (I know I'm on a no spend but have to buy work shoes so they don't count Blush)

Last week I ordered 3 scents from perfume parlour - dupes of JM pomegranate noir, Knowing and JM lime, basil and mandarin. They arrived today. The Jo Malone dupes are both gorgeous but the Knowing is nowhere near as good as the Estée Lauder. So far perfume parlour has been a bit hit and miss but it's worth ordering the small bottles to try and then get bigger bottles of the decent ones.

Oh, I wear the basil and mandarin one ella, must try PP. I’m on the hunt for a dupe for Chanel Coromandel, I love it but it’s about £150 a bottle so could never justify it.
