Not at all old fashioned but don't wear it buttoned up, that style needs to be open and casual.

Is this from Sainsbury's? I was tempted but the course was abit leather sofa.

If i saw you wearing it out and about, i would not think 'old-fashioned'

But now you ask, I don't think it is on trend, no. It is dated. It's the zip up front.

But then I saw ra-ra skirts in the shops the other day; I had one the first time around.

How is it old fashioned? It's a biker jacket, they're really fashionable at the moment.

I like it. Khaki has been 'on trend' recently. I would wear it unzipped as a pp said though.

Yes rinky 25% off sealed the deal but now Dh making me rethink my bargain? It's a dark military green I would say

I have a similar jacket in black. I don't think it's old fashioned but I never wear mine zipped up I think it looks better open

Wishfulmakeupping · 18/08/2017 18:23

Or khaki would be the obvious answer 😂😂

I quite like it and was very tempted when I tried it on last week in Sainsburys, but I cannot justify another jacket really.

Sainsbury's you say....
I really like it, definelt wear open as pp's say, I've got a couple from all saints that are v v similar to the style and shape, just different colours, and often get complimented wearing them, don't think I've ever zipped them up though.
In that colour I'd wear black/nude trousers, I wouldn't wear blue jeans but that's maybe just me.
I'm 31 if that makes any difference to you.

No it's not old fashioned, biker jackets are a classic anyway but at the moment they ere very trendy. But I'd keep it open and casual and just wear an oversized scarf on days where you need extra warmth, or a jumper underneath. I like the colour (also a trendy 'neutral' at the moment).

Biker jackets are neither fashionable nor unfashionable; they go in the column marked 'classic'.

That said, I'm not keen on the colour and think they should pretty much always be leather, black, heavy and a bit battered. Or a very very soft leather if I'm grey.

I've just bought the same one in grey! I was really pleased as I'd tried this one on a couple of weeks ago but decided I wouldn't get enough wear out of it because of the colour. I think it's very flattering and great value for the price.

It looks like it could be too big, unless it's deliberately oversized (which is a trend at the moment). It's swamping you just a little. Did you try the next size down? Or are you leaving room for thicker jumpers underneath?

In any case, I like it.

I noticed a ton of biker jackets in m and a today - take from that what you will!

I like it op - much better open than done up.

Grinat dark military green!

As others have said, the biker jacket is a classic. So it's not old-fashioned at all.

Report
Loopytiles · 18/08/2017 18:36

Is just a standard biker jacket: unobjectionable.

Definitely looks better undone - nice jacket - not old fashioned!

Biker jackets are a classic staple. They have never gone out of fashion since the 80s or even maybe 70s (punk)

DD age 20 has bought a few khaki things this summer.

Floisme · 18/08/2017 18:43

It's nice and I like the colour and I agree about wearing it open. But I don't agree that classics never go out of fashion. I think bikers have become too high profile not to fall out of favour sooner or later - just like ballet flats or court shoes or those leather, single breasted blazers which we also thought would be around forever.

But I think they've got a few years in them yet and they'll probably come round again.
