BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Wed 05-Nov-14 22:04:46

QueenC I loved the wedding board! Everyone is going to look fab. wink Everything that had someone's name on, I could really see them in. And there are some amazing hats!

Ooh lib forgot to say I'm so glad you liked the skirt, I hope it's nice.

libertychick Wed 05-Nov-14 22:07:50

I went for next day delivery Blair so will be able to report back tomorrow.

Drywhiteplease Wed 05-Nov-14 22:11:45 beat me to it Blair
Where's Shop she'll be v pleased with us.
Liberty do it, seriously if, like me, you love Christmas pud and you love ice cream then it's a winner all round. The tub is so small though. DH is away and we've left him a taste .......but I'm not sure I really love him that much grin

shopafrolic Wed 05-Nov-14 22:13:31

I am v pleased. Nice one Lib thanks

OneLittleLady Wed 05-Nov-14 22:16:42

jumping in to wave goodnight and to mark my place so i don't lose you all!

MarshaBrady Wed 05-Nov-14 22:18:18

Brilliant thanks Lib. Love that quote too, nice way to start a new edition.

libertychick Wed 05-Nov-14 22:18:24

Christmas pud and ice cream are two of my favourite things Dry I'd be tempted to drizzle a little brandy over it too I suspect

Karbea Wed 05-Nov-14 22:44:20

Hi All! Marking my place...

Drywhiteplease Wed 05-Nov-14 22:45:18

I like my pud boozy and with Baileys ice cream, you should try it.
Fashion wise October was quiet. Returned dress and coat I bought last week and didn't really mention. You know, honestly, I don't really need anything shock really not sure what's come over me

libertychick Wed 05-Nov-14 22:50:08

Hmmmmm sounds so good. I had better start doing some exercise so I can justify the Christmas excess.

Hi Karbea smile

Mominatrix Thu 06-Nov-14 05:34:43

Year! Shiny new thread!

Dry - I'm going to have to get that ice cream. The other Heston thing I need to get is something promoted in the new Waitrose Magazine - the large ice cream chocolate bar thing. Ahh, Christmas - thank goodness the dog is forcing me to do loads more exercise!

LinusDKD Thu 06-Nov-14 07:36:23

Here you are!

Marking my place for later!

shopafrolic Thu 06-Nov-14 07:39:36

Morning all.
Where's the quote from Lib?
Soooo cold this morning. Not looking forward to the dog walk but it's bright and sunny at least. Another meal out for me tonight, then Fri, Sat and Sun blush cake cake cake cake

Drywhiteplease Thu 06-Nov-14 07:50:55

I love your annual birthday fest Shop sounds fab. Looking forward to hearing what you wear.

shopafrolic Thu 06-Nov-14 07:59:10

Mom you are the queen of the red lip as far as I am concerned. Since I've been diagnosed as a Winter I've been told to try blue toned reds. I went to Mac and came away with Ruby Woo which is the perfect colour for me but is very drying. Can you recommend any others that maybe have a slightly more moisturising texture? What were you wearing at the MU? Was it Russian Red?

LinusDKD Thu 06-Nov-14 08:25:01

shop I have Russian Red and it is lovely but also quite matte. Have you tried wearing their lip primer underneath?

If you don't want to break the bank have a look at the Loreal collection privé pure reds. They will probably sell different ones in each country (depending how popular or well known the celebrity is in that country) but I really like Julianne's red (more of a coraly red) and JLo's red (very similar to Russian Red)

I have only tried them on in the department store but they feel lovely and are very pigmented.

AmberNectarine Thu 06-Nov-14 09:01:59

lib yes I'm training for a HM so I don't really have time to be laid up. Stupid foot. Still in bed this morning - am hoping for miraculous recovery when I stand up smile

Really random red lip suggestion but Prohibition by collection 2000 or whatever they're calling themselves these days is a lovely colour and quite creamy. Great for the money.

shopafrolic Thu 06-Nov-14 09:04:36

Thanks for the red tips ladies.
Are you buying anything from the Wang collection for H&M Amber?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Thu 06-Nov-14 09:24:10

Had forgotten about Wang H&M. The site is down now of course. I saw some previews and don't think it's really me, but can definitely see Amber in lots of the pieces. Hope your foot is better soon btw, DP gets plantar fascitis, he bought a foot brace thing which seems to give some overnight relief.

Shop the quote is in the OP

have a good day all smile

libertychick Thu 06-Nov-14 09:35:34

Sorry Shop I should have said whose quote it was!

Harry Winston American jeweller. I can't remember where I first heard it but it's one of those things I mutter to myself when I am feeling self conscious.

libertychick Thu 06-Nov-14 09:37:39

I'd take a day or two off running Amber and give it a rest as it can set in and take ages to heal, I ran through it training for a 10km a few years ago and ended up in a lot of pain. Maybe see a podiatrist for advise?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Thu 06-Nov-14 09:42:54

Oh lol I read Shop's post as "where has lib put the quote" not "Who said it"

<need more sleep>

Mominatrix Thu 06-Nov-14 09:46:58

Waiting here in Westfield for shops to open (errands, not fun stuff) and there is a mahoosive queue outside H&m - is any of the Wang stuff worth fighting the crowd for?
