My 10-month-old DS has always struggled with night time sleep, mainly due to the fact that he's always been very windy which wakes him in pain. He was diagnosed with a dairy allergy a couple of months ago, and after removing dairy from his and my diet (as I'm breastfeeding) his wind almost disappeared and his sleep improved. Although he was still waking a couple of times in the night to BF, we were getting some good 3-4 hour stretches.
However over the past couple of weeks he's really gone backwards, and is once again waking pretty frequently (every 1-2 hours) clearly in pain and windy. Is there likely to be something else going on - another food allergy maybe? I'm struggling to think of what it could be, maybe teething but I'm not sure it'd be affecting his tummy so much? When he wakes he doesn't want me/DH as such, and doesn't necessarily want to be held, he's just clearly in pain. Any ideas/advice greatly appreciated!
