So, what are some creepy things you've heard men say/have them say to you?

Don't wear nail varnish on our date (date didn't happen)
You'd be perfect if you weren't so annoying (long term, now ex boyfriend)
DH has done pretty well to not say anything bad in 16 years.

When I was 18 I worked in a bank and one customer just gave me the creeps (he did with other staff too- even the men) but one day he was doing his usual convoluted transaction request, I think he enjoyed seeing us all get flustered and confused, and eventually I processed the lot and he said “there now (my name) (he was a big fan of using our first names) we got there together. The two of us came together didnt we?” And I swear my male colleague nearly jumped over the counter to throttle him. I refused to serve him ever again.

Stranger in a bar, in a completely calm voice.

'Have you ever been abducted and held against your will?'

Aren’t you the loveliest little thing?

Said to me by a ancient club singer when I was working behind the bar at 16. He was later charged with sexual assault towards a minor.

A senior manager I worked with snuck up behind me, uncomfortably close while I was making a coffee in a very small work kitchen. I froze, then he said “do you use Pantene?” and proceeded to sniff my hair. Honestly freaked me out.

"If I was your dad, I'd smack your bum."

Said to me at age 15, by a stranger on the bus after he commented that I was out late.

Oooo, when I signed on briefly a few years aho, the security guard in the job centre said to me 'if you weren't wearing that wedding ring, I would follow you home'

Luckily I am toughenedby all the stuff I heard when I worked in a pub:

'what can I get you?'
'i'll have a pint of your tit/ blood' (depending on the mood of the man that particular day. Then one day, I called him a pervert. He went absolutely spare and I had to grovel to apologise in front of customers and other staff.....

That was the 1990s, though. Times have changed - and so have I!!

Shop keeper lady: Happy birthday, remind me how old you are.
Me: 14.
Middle aged man behind me in queue: oooh, I'd so go to jail for a that!

These are all way creepier than I expected Sad

An older guy maybe 40s used to hang at the goth bar with us when we were 18. Creepy enough. We all just ignored him mostly. One day he smelled my armpit and then said you're on your period aren't you.

Creepy fucker. Wonder if he's still there.

Sleazy, inappropriate comments from men about how my child is a pretty little thing, getting all grown up now, will need to beat the boys off etc.

She is a child. She's not a thing and her looks don't define her. She's really not 'all grown up now' - she's not even a teenager yet. The boys her age are children too.

My old middle aged area manager came into the shop I was working in when I was 19 and my colleague was early 20s. We both had the initials DD. He stood infront of the counter of the fairly busy shop (all men) and shouted "Here are my pair of double D's" while looking us up and down giggling away to himself.

I reckon he was thinking of his 'gag' all the way over. He looked so pleased with himself! We just thought he was a perv!

@MrsOfBebbanburg I don’t think many people realise how some customers behave towards high street bank/building society staff. I used to work in one too. I was once offered completely out of the blue to go swinging with a couple after interviewing them for a current account & an elderly gentleman also thought I’d be interested in his activities with a Henry Hoover-let’s just say it didn’t involve carpets.

Two super occasions, two different men I considered friends, and their responses when I disclosed my experience of rape/sexual assault and how much it had affected me.

'If you ever fancy a fuck to try and get over it, let me know.'

'You've been crying for ages- would it make you feel better to suck my cock?'

Neither could understand why I was disgusted with them.

My teacher, “Your hair is so golden and beautiful, I can’t believe how lovely it is.”, and he stroked my hair. I was 11 and in primary school and we were the only ones in the room.
