I like wicked wife sitter. It is getting a bit Panto. Or do I just mean Pants.
Well done Pseudo, last thread went fast.

Yay! Half an award for me for that title! (sort of). Thanks, Pseudo.

I realise that minorities like me (a man on MN) have to accept the small crumbs of acknowledgement that come our way when it comes to the Oscars... Smile

That's a pure work of art Pseudo!

Although, given this thread's extraordinary prescience in the matter of titles, I do worry that perhaps the BBC might already have decided to economise by doing without an editor. And they so heavily promote both the tweeting and Plarchers that it might seem rather wasteful to actually broadcast episodes. They could sack any SWs who aren't on Twitter and just keep the ones who are prepared to boil their episodes down to 140 characters. And instead of an archivist they could have an official correctionist.

This interesting audiobook is out in October 2016,

www.amazon.co.uk/Archers-Story-Helen-full-cast-dramatisation/dp/178529458X/?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

but why on earth is it in 'historical romance', of all places?

MrsWembley · 22/02/2016 21:23

Nice title!

On the archivist point, was that acçurate what Ruth and David were saying about his dad changing his herd? Was that the SW's way of saying that they do remember some history?

i can't think of anything more depressing than listening to that audiobook.

Ah. Well the projected existence of such a thing pretty much confirms a "big" ending for the story rather than a long drawn out struggle.

Hello all,

Must return to the old thread to catch up, been in the inner depths of Wales with no mod cons & limited phone reception.

Romance - maybe Helen becomes a surrendered wife and they move to Waco and all live happily ever after.

Report
Gruach · 22/02/2016 21:51

Maybe they've re-set it in the 18th century?

If they're planning to issue an audio book in October, let's hope that holds out a crumb of comfort that the saga will be resolved by then.

BYOSnowman · 22/02/2016 21:55

There have been books published on TA (including by the BBC) almost every year. They have no excuse.

But anyway.

On previous thread: Did Carol say something to Gill about missing the black and white cows? I thought they had Herefords at Brookfield.

Herefords are beef cattle (All that Hassett Hills stuff.) Haven't ever clocked what breed the dairy herd was, though. And as I'm not a scriptwriter, I can decide not to look back through my various Archers books at this time of night to see if it's ever been mentioned...
