have moved into first house, plan to stay 5 years ish. Currently has old back boiler, which needs changing. We cant deceid what sort of boiler to have. Replacing it with another back boiler with a modern fire place is the least disruptive option. The alternative is a combi boiler, which would mean massive disruption, in terms of re routing pipework etc. Also, is a lot more expensive, over twice as much. We do have the money for either option. Looking ahead to selling, are back boilers not popular any more, even if new and modern looking, would a back boiler of any age put people off. Are we better going for the more disruptive expensive option to make the property more attractive for selling in the future.
