Anyone used Precious Little One?

Having read awful things about Two Left Feet and Mothercare I was wondering if anyone had come across/used Precious Little One? I hadn't heard of them until doing a bit of research today and given the twin buggy I want is £90 cheaper than in Mothercare I was wondering whether to give them a go. Any thoughts/experiences?

Yes, I used them when they were selling on Ebay - they might still be. I bought a buggy bike and had no problems what-so-ever

I used them a few months ago to buy DD her first bed - they were the cheapest and didn't charge a delivery fee. The bed was delivered the next day as I recall and I had no problems at all with them. I think the website also gives you the number of particular items in stock too. If you are at all worried, just make sure you pay by Credit Card instead of a Debit (if over £100 I think) so you can get a refund from the CC company should anything go wrong (not that I'm implying that it would).

I used them a couple of times and they were really good. We got pram and carseat from them.

They helped me identify and locate a part for my buggy from the manufacturer (free of charge) and I have since been back to them for adaptors for our car seat as I lost one. This was charged, but considering it wasn't something that is available to buy straight from webpage I was impressed.

Happy shopping!

Oh my goodness - what have you heard about two left feet? I was thinking of ordering a buggy package from them but will hold off if they are terrible.

TWO LEFT FEET. I wanted to warn anyone that I ordered a pram 60 days ago and still haven't received anything.... except promises. Impossible to get hold of. Just read internet forums! Tragic considering some people spent 1000's and have a new baby and.. well you can guess the rest! Tell your friends.

Thanks ladies, will give them a go I think. Scotlass, there have been a few negative threads on the forums about TLF and my SIL has just had to cancel with them as buggy, car seat etc has not been seen after 60 days and baby due next week!

Ultraviolet - Don't touch Two Left Feet with a bargepole!!! I have herad horrific stories from SO many people now. Just do a thread search or Google 'Two Left Feet experience' and read what experiences people have had...then make up your mind if you want to order with them...

Two left feet. I would warn anyone not to use them. They have had over £770 of my money for 4 months. I ordered a bugaboo and accessories but there was such a delay they eventually told me it would arrive 4 weeks after my new baby did! In the end I cancelled the order and ordered one from mothercare which arrived the next day. I am still trying to get my money back they do not respond to emails and I am now going to take court action to get my money back and compensation. It has been an awful experience and not a nice thing to go through when you have a newborn. Please advise anyone you know considering ordering from them to think again!

If anyone else has had similar problems did you manage to get your money back? If so how??

I ordered a jr bed with mattress and another mattress in mid-December from Precious Little One because we wanted to transfer DS from his cot to a bed during the break and they had free delivery. Well, after a lot of hassle ended up getting the bed w/mattress on the 24th (took several phone calls and me actually cancelling the order because of delays as it was supposed to be next day delivery on the 15th. I'm still waiting for the other mattress that was supposed to be in stock. Not very impressed with their communication although the bed is ok.

Just to add you should avoid Babies247.com as well - I had a horrific experience with them similar to Two Left Feet....

Didn't have a problem with Precious Little Ones. Ordered a Nursery Rhyme Mural from them for our nursery wall. Arrived within 2 or 3 days and clearly stated how many were left in stock.

Did struggle to get my pram package though... Was constantly out of stock, even when the date arrived for their next delivery... But didn't pay any money for that so wasn't a problem.

I have never used Precious Little Ones, but when I was at a Baby Show in Exeter at the weekend, I came across a really friendly shop that was showing, they have a web site: www.trendybaby.co.uk .I ordered my Jane pram from them on Friday at the show and it was delivered yesterday (Monday), I am very pleased with the service they have provided and the quality of the products I have received, I have never received an order so quickly. Also at the show they was giving away an extra 5% off their internet prices, the discount code is b2b2305, I hope this helps all other mums to be to get a really good price.

I purchased a moses basket and stand from precious little one. Absolute disaster!! The stand arrived missing a few screws and the moses basket never arrived. I contacted them for a refund and had to keep ringing back to remind them to give me my money back. When the refund finally got to my account, it was only a partial refund. I'm still chasing them for the rest of my money. I finally bought the moses basket from john lewis and the stand from amazon. No problems whatsoever. I am never purchsing anything from preciouslittle one again. I found their customer service dire!! The odd thing is, they claim to put your reviews on their website but the review I wrote has never appeared. I got the impression that only favourable reviews get posted on their website.

No experience of Precious Little Ones but i believe they are big company so bound to have the odd bad experience. I purchased a babystyle oyster through www.pushchairsonline.com- its a new site for an independent in Surrey, Baby Gear of Camberley.. My experience was great, ordered it online and arrived within 48 hours.. plus they called to check all was OK!

I posted a discount in the discount codes area but 'push4more' apparently gives anywhere between 3-8% off. They where the cheapest I found for the Oyster anyway. Plus it came with free delivery.

Just thought i would give everyone here a heads up.. My second little one is due in 3 weeks and i have purchased everything from a company called parentsupermarket.com!! I can't speak highly enough of them, at first i was very sceptical about using them as i had never heard of them before. However once i played my order, i received it with 24 hours and the communication was great so that eased any fears i had. To top it off they were the best price by quite a bit on all the products i purchased.

I hope this helps

Don't order from precious little ones, if anything goes wrong then your in for a long ride!!! bought my daughter a pram from them which developed a fault after about 7 weeks of use. They charge you £15 for a stand in one (which was not up to our requirements and was also covered in mud) when you speak to them on the phone they are quite rude and give over a couldnt care less attitude. They collected my daughters pram 3 weeks ago and we are still waiting!!!!!! Do your selves a favour and buy else where.

Bought our Quinny 3 from www.pushchairsonline.com - went into the shop, Baby Gear, in Camberley - a disaster!!!

Pre-paid for it some weeks ago - when we arranged to collect it we got it home and discovered that all was not that it seemed.

It had arrived in a non-standard box, without any instructions, and the bag and front wheel were attached to the scratched frame. There was dirt not only in the joints of the pram but in the wheels.

It was blatantly obvious that the Quinny wasn't new. At the very best they had sold us ex-display - although we were reassured that this wasn't the case.

We returned the Quinny to the shop where we were given a pretty feeble excuse as to how it happened. The manufacturers, Dorel, were blamed - although when I later offered to take up the case with Dorel, this reason was withdrawn.

I could go on and on, but be very aware that you might not get what you have bought.

We did give the shop plenty of opportunity to retain out custom - - unfortunately they couldn't come up with a sensible / valid reason for the "error" - so we took our business to the delightful Glasgow Pram Centre - who delivered the pram the next day, allowing us to see what a new Quinny in a box looks like.

Seeing the what we did get from The Glasgow Pram Centre and comparing it to pushchairsonline I cannot even begin to contemplate how they made a mistake - can it be a mistake selling a second hand pram in a second hand box?

I'm just pleased that we were able to realise that what we had bought wasn't what we paid for and so we managed to take our business elsewhere.

I used PreciousLittleOne a couple of times, no problems at all, very happy with their service and response time (I've asked them a few questions without placing an order and they were quick and very helpful indeed).

Horrendous customer service. Having used several baby websites, I thought they would be ok also but NOPE. Car seat ordered in June for Jully delivery, by September and several chases we asked for a refund but as they REFUND YOU THROUGH PAYPAL, PAYPAL TAKE A FEE AND THEY SAY "TOUGH LUCK".

Tried to get them to refund the paypal fee and they say, not their problem as paypal dedcuted it.

Stated not in terms and conditions as says you get a FULL REFUND - had email now saying won't refund it.

Seems to me that as the order is cancelled, they don't care about retaining any goodwill.

BEWEARE IF NOT IN STOCK DONT ORDER AS IF YOU CANCEL LATER YOU GET BACK LESS THAN YOU PAID THEM AND THEY TAKE THE MONEY STRAIGHT AWAY rather than waiting to charge you when they get stock.

Asked customer services manager if I could speak to her boss and she said no and to write in.

Lovely attitude - very upset and will never ever use them again.
