Pregnancy

Nearly 37 weeks and still have small boobs!

I am nearly 37 weeks and my boobs haven't changed size at all (still a small B cup) but my nipples are darker. I'm having a c-section in 1-2 weeks (don't know the exact date yet). Will my milk just come in after birth?! I've also heard breast feeding after a c-section can be less straightforward or is that a myth?

Second pregnancy here and mine didn't grow at all - v disappointed here. My first pregnancy they were huge!

Anyway had a natural birth and milk came in as normal. Boobs still the same.

It's delivering the placenta that makes your milk come in, so a c section in itself shouldn't make a difference. Sometimes emergency c sections come with blood loss that can affect it, I imagine that's where the thought comes from that it affects your milk coming in.

I don't think mine grew very much during my first pregnancy, it's hard to say since I only got fitted properly during my pregnancy so have no accurate 'before' measurement (almost certainly wasn't wearing the right size before). They've grown a lot more this time round I think.

But, the big advantage will be, your boobs will still look the same when you are on your 50's. Mine do Smile

Thanks both. Ok so it sounds like no boob growth this late on is fine - phew! It was one of the pregnancy symptoms I and my husband were actually looking forward to!

Anyone else due in January? I'm pregnant with my second a baby and would love some bump buddies to chat too. Haven't told anyone yet and it's so hard to keep the news to yourself. Trying to hold out until he first scan!

Mine never got bigger, not even during 11 months of breastfeeding. I was glad though as they're already big enough.

I had a CS and my milk came in without any problem after about 36 hours - was a bit of a shock to get out the shower to find it spurting all over the floor Shock

I got a wider chest but not bigger boobs but then my milk came in (on day 4) and BAM small b cup to large C/ small D. I like it!

I've had 2 dc and mine didn't get bigger either time. I had problems with milk production and couldn't breastfeed fully - no problem with latch or anything, I just didn't have enough milk.

On the plus side my breasts are still exactly the same shape and firmness as before children (c cup).

My first two pregnancies my boobs didn't change at all, tiny A cup, never leaked no milk came at all after birth (both natural deliveries) I then had implants put in got pregnant with my 3 and Jesus did my milk come in and the same happened with dc number 4 to who I did actually have a go at Breast feeding!

Really strange no idea why my boob job made the difference to my milk supply
