Pain in left side: ribs?

I wondered if anyone could offer any advice?

I am 21 weeks pregnant with no.3 & I have woken up with a pain in my left side, in my ribs.

I had my gallbladder our after number 2 & had pain like this (& much worse) throughout.

Had high BP in both pregnancies.

Due to see consultant on Tuesday (routine) just wondered if I should do anything today?

It's not incredibly painful like gallstones but it is a pain & staying constant?

Is the pain worse when you breath in?

Yes??

But yes I would get checked today. Maybe give it an hour, have a hot drink, move about and see if it's still there or if it's gone. If it's still there then do you have a phone number you can ring and talk to a midwife?

Sorry, cross post.

Yes, if the pain is worse on breathing in then see someone today. It's probably muscular but there's a small chance it could be a PE. Nothing to worry about even if it is as they can give you medication for it but if it is it needs treating.

Thanks for replying, will have a bath & look at my notes - there must be someone around on a Sunday??

What does it mean if it's worse when breathing in? (Although I get it may not be that?)

It actually feels better after a bath - so will keep an eye out, if it comes back I will ring- thanks again for replying

Hi, I have been suffering from similar pain around the ribs on the left side . Mine feels like muscle pain and it's painful to touch, it also gets worse when I cough, throw up and lying down on my left. I think I might have pulled a muscle while throwing up. I've mentioned to midwife and she suggested applying heat and will consider physio if it doesn't get better. I really hope it's not something serious but it is so painful!

Ps I'm also 21+2, mine doesn't get worse when I breath in and it's not constant, only when u move or touch/rub it
