nuchal scan results from babybond

Hi i'm booked in for a private nuchal scan tomorrow with babybond. (they don't do nuchal scans on the NHS in my region :( I just wondered how long it takes for the results to come back? We've decided to see how the scan goes before we tell anyone that i'm pregnant and ideally it would be great if we could share the news with folks over the weekend but wasn't sure if we'd have to wait till monday for the results. Has anyone else had a scan with babybond? Thanks!

I've had a scan with babybond (not nt, mind) and they give you a print out of your report at the end of the scan - your nt result will be printed on it. Unless... you're having bloods too? I'm not aware if Babybond do those? But, in any case, you will have a good idea from the nt measurement as to whether there is cause for concern.

I'm sure they do take bloods, I had a 4D scan at babybond the other day, and I saw blood bottles in the room....

brilliant thanks ladies. Think if they take bloods, then i'll definately need to wait a few days before i get the results i guess? x

Ah, yes, I suppose it's perfectly possible they do!

The bloods give a combined risk, age adjusted, but I think for the sake of wanting an immediate result in order to share news of a pregnancy an encouraging nt result, which will be instant, would be enough for me. How many weeks will you be sunface? Is this your first glimpse of the baby? So exciting, if nerve wracking too!

i had my 12week scan earlier this week, which was just brilliant and sooo clear! but my partner couldn't make it as he was out of the country with work so this will be his first glimpse! i'll be 12weeks and about 5days i think..... I'm 37 and this is my 3rd, which is why i'm considering the nuchal and i'll get the NHS bloods done at 16weeks too x

I'm 37, too... but this is my fourth! I did have the nt but strangely really wasn't worried as my risk with DS2 just over a year ago came back as 1:13,000

The nt measurement was very similar with this baby (1.3) so very reassuring.

Hope you and DP enjoy seeing baby bounce around on the screen tomorrow and that you have a reassuring result too!
