Ghosts - real or not real?!

So a friend of mine was telling me yesterday about his nephew who used to apparently chatter away to a "man" in his room that nobody else can see. His family all thought it was more than a toddlers imagination in overdrive but never saw/heard anything else except for the little boy's cousin asking "who's the man in XYZ's bedroom?" I've never been able to make my mind up on life after life and all that malarkey and was just wondering what you guys thought of it all?

I really find it hard to believe in. I think each to their own but I have never experienced anything that makes me think there is an after life. I think a lot of people find the thought comforting as appose to there's nothing after death.

Definitely an element of terror management theory with it as with most belief systems! I'm still really undecided. Love hearing other people's weird stories though

Not real. There is cctv everywhere and no evidence.

There are a number of different phenomena which come under the heading 'ghosts.' Seeing or hearing or smelling a beloved relative is not unusual and is something that doctors and grief counsellors take seriously. There is an Article here www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2378792/?page=1 .

I've been asked to pray over a house where things move about and I've seen stuff that is very very odd. Whether any of it is ghostly or just the human mind on overdrive I can't judge but it does usually respond to prayer which may be psychosomatic or not. I just turns up, listens and prays.

Real. All my family saw my Grandma (a ghost,). My Grandad died alone so I'm glad she was waiting for him.

What about physic mediums who claim they can contact dead relatives? I think many of them actually think what they do is real contact with ghosts.
