My cat injured himself yesterday and had to be sedated and stitched up,he had cut his leg about 2.5inches in length.
Now the vet has told me he needs to be kept in until we see her agin next Friday BUT its proving very difficiult as he refuses to use his litter tray and is getting stressed out not being able to get out of the cat flap.
Even when he was an ickle kitten he wouldnt use the litter tray but favoured a corner of my lounge!
I really dont know what to do?
I want to let him out for a wee becuase i ahte seeing him getting stressed, and hes going to make himself ill if he holds onto it much longer!
Help!

is shocking. my 3 legged cat frequently overdoes it and has to be shut in for a few days. he hates it. i usually shut him in our smallest room and force myself to ignore his sad wails and scratching to get out.

do you have a little room/hallway where you can put newspaper down on the floor and also close all the doors so cat is closed in. That's what we have to do when cat needs to be kept in.

all rooms are occupied unfortunatly. 2 teenage sons and a house full of little ones on a week day as im a childminder!
He does find solace in his bed on the landing and one in the hallway.
Hes perfectly fine within himself it really is just the not using the litter tray thing...fussy snobby cat i have!
