This is the feedback thread for the 120 MNers with at least one child aged 0 to 13 who have been testing Cushelle Facial tissues.

These facial tissues have come in so handy since receiving them to try! My DS has come down with a cold so it’s been handy having them on hand when he has a runny nose. I wouldn’t usually choose a tissue as I find they can be quite rough and make their little noses red and sore. These have been so soft and gentle, he’s tolerated me wiping his nose all through the day! I haven’t had any washing machine disasters, but it’s good to know these tissues are capable of withstanding an accidental wash! I will definitely purchase these in the future. Loved the design on the box too!

I was very impressed, fortunately/ unfortunately both my youngest and I have had heavy colds for the past week and neither of us have sore noses despite blowing them a thousand times a day

We’ve been testing these for a few days now and the boys have used them for:

Wiping sick from a vomitty child’s mouth
One nosebleed
General snot

I have used them for wiping under eye makeup off with remover mid way through the day

Like them but the animal packaging is a little babyish and I wouldn’t buy the cube for the sitting room . They don’t feel very different to normal tissues, just slightly more robust and not as scrunchy.

Of course - pockets and kids and tissues always work out badly. Have picked shredded tissue from many a fabric. I experimented (see photo) wasn’t brave enough to machine wash one but I soaked it and then shredded it - no fluffy fibres

They were fine. Slightly less soft but hardy and up to several gross jobs (see above). I’d buy them again.

I thought the packaging of the cube was great (not so keen on purple colour though!) because the tissues came out cleanly one by one. The quality of the tissue was good, felt very strong.

We did not test the claims that the tissue didn't disintegrate in the wash. I have had a "disaster" but this has always been solvable by shaking garment and hoovering. I'm worried that these tissues wouldn't break down in the environment once used. I try to be eco friendly, so this really isn't a selling point for me and may even turn me off!

The tissues were indeed very soft. Softer than a super budget brand. I am a childminder and clean a lot of noses. I would buy a tissue more on its soft and strong selling point rather than it not breaking down in the wash.

Yes!! Oh god, those endless bits of white fluff, that no matter how you try, would always remain. If the cushelle's don't disintegrate it would saves me hours of cursing and trying to de-fluff

Very soft - probably wouldn't use them on my nose with a cold though, as unless there's a strong balm (insert other popular brand) my nose eventually does become very red.

Yes and they definitely would as accidentally left one in the pocket of a pair of jeans and all was fine. Didnt have to wash everythint again about 4 times to clear the damage!

Yes definitely- been using them on my daughters permanently runny nose and on mine too and nice and soft.

Too many!! This is probably my favourite thing about Cushelle tissues - they hold together BRILLIANTLY in the wash, not a single shred to be seen. Hurrah!

Lots see above! It’s so annoying to have to re-wash everything and even then everything seems to still have a thin layer of fluff on it! So they would definitely help avoid this!

Very soft my littlest has a cold right now and he’s been helping himself to the tissues in the box, which is great as usually he makes me do it but I think he likes the novelty of the cute box!
I would definitely use them myself too for cold season and hay fever season!

Dd liked the box with the 3D koala hands and legs, she seemed excited by the box and it made her want to try the tissues. I put a tissue in through a washing load (well, I had to test it!) and I thought it would stay fully intact in the wash but it separated into a number of pieces so I had to pick these off the wet washing, so it wasn’t perfect, but it was a lot better than the usual tissues and didn’t get white fluff over everything. Dhs main concern with the tissues was does the fact they don’t go as annoying in the wash mean they contain plastic to make them more robust. We looked at the packaging and it wasn’t clear. If it contained plastic it would put us off buying. It would also be great if the smaller handbag packs of tissues were wrapped in a more environmentally friendly material.

Oh yes. Too many to mention! It would improve matters from that POV using Cushelle Facial Tissues.

They felt very soft, I would be happy to use them in cold season (and funnily enough we are in the midst of colds here chez Reastie so it has been a good time to test!).

Really impressed. Both myself and teenage ds have had streaming colds for the last fortnight, so the box of tissues lasted about 3 days, but I liked that they didn’t disintegrate when blowing noses and I’ve not ended up with a sore nose.

My son is forever leaving things in his pockets, however, it was me that washed my black dressing gown with a pocketful of Cushelle and had no problem with bits. However, I am concerned that this means they aren’t very biodegradable.

Yes definitely would. They are really soft and have had no sore noses so all is good!

Really liked them, they came out of the box well. though the next one is quite a long way out so it would be nice if they didn't pull out quite so much. I think the pop out koala bit is unnecessary cardboard waste and makes me less inclined to have the box out on the side

So many times. As foster carers we have many children in the house that end up with tissues stuff in sleeves of pockets and one always finds it's was into the wash then attacks everything! I did test out a tissue in the wash and it did exactly what it claimed to!

They were very soft, for little ones i often use a wetwipe because I find tissues a bit too rough but these are much softer than the supermarket brand box we had open at the same time.

Perfect timing to receive these tissues. Both me and my 6 year old had terrible colds. I did like the purple themed packaging. It looked comforting.
We've had many tissues left in pockets in the washing machine! One of these did go through. Although it didn't stay intact it didn't break down into tiny pieces either. So yes, an improvement.
They were soft but.... not as soft as a supermarket own brand we use. Where you get two cubes for £1.50. So for that reason alone I'll stick to buying the ultra soft supermarket brand.

My husband is always putting things in the laundry basket with tissues in the pockets! I haven't been brave enough to purposely put one in the wash but if they really do stay intact and not leave fluff on everything then I would be really impressed.

I tested this - thought I would commit! They did not break up in the wash - result!

I have had a few disasters with tissues breaking in the washing machine and covering the clothes with white bits. I hated them. I don't think this would happen with Cushelle as it seems very strong.

I wasn't keen on the box design although can see that it'd appeal to families with younger children. The tissues themselves were soft and strong although seemed smaller than my usual ones. Overall I liked them and would buy them at the right price.

Yes lots of tissues left in pockets and gone through the wash. The Cushelle tissues still shredded but not as badly as a normal tissue would.

Q1: We all liked these tissues, very soft and strong. Only disappointment was the cardboard box had plastic over the part where the tissues dispense, which is not necessary and needs to be removed before the box can be recycled.

My children liked the design of the box, maybe think about the position of the reds arrows showing the Koala's paws are (pic attached)......

Q2. No washing related tissue disasters, but as these tissues didn't shred as easily they seemed to get to the bin intact rather than the children leaving bits of tissue over the sofa!

Q3. Yes, my 5 year old has had a streaming cold and these didn't damage the skin around his nose and mouth. He will actually blow his nose now, if it's a "Koala Tissue" .

Yes, I've left them in pockets many times and once or twice they got out and went all over the rest of the load. I don't know what Cushelle would be like but they are pretty strong so I think that might not happen.

They weren't as soft as another (much more expensive) brand but they weren't at all rough like regular or cheap tissues so they would definitely do the job. I think I'd prefer them to the softer ones due to the price.

Honestly it happens to me way too often!!! I actually washed one of these with some towels to try it out and they held up really well. No bits of fluff!!

OMG these tissues are amazing!!!
Super soft (great for little noses and big ones too). Stopped my toddler getting a red sore nose when he's all snotty and full of cold. Very strong, didn't break when full of snot. They claimed to be washing machine resistant. I was dubious, but they actually are! Said toddler and hubbie always leaving tissues in pockets and the amount of time I spend picking shreds of tissue off clothing... anyhow no more. I was astounded! Will 100% be buying these again if I see them. I've been raving about them to mil and even she's on the hunt for them in shops now too.
Added bonus the cube box looks funky and brightens up the room. Great when you're feeling under the weather.

1- I loved the quality of the tissues.
The box made it feel so much more luxurious
2- 100% think the cushelle facial tissues will help combat this annoying problem. Happens more than I like to think about. No annoying accidents any more in this household
