Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Has this happened to anyone - ectopic related

Feeling really down at the moment. Had my ectopic removed a month ago now and was told to take a pregnancy test three weeks later which I dutifully did at the beginning of last week. Called the EPU with the result which was positive and they requested I come in for another scan.

Scan took place yesterday and there was no sign of a pregnancy. I was asked if there's any chance I could have become pregnant again since the ectopic and yes I suppose there is Blush however if that has happened it's likely too small to see at the moment.

I then had blood taken which today I found out the result is my hcg is at 158 so I've to go back tomorrow to see if it's rising or falling.

To top it off me and DP have fallen out as he "didn't realise" there was a chance of me falling pregnant before having a period. This is despite me saying we need to be careful really and providing condoms. My own fault I know for not ensuring they were used. We went away at the weekend and dtd lots so although I know it's unlikely I'm pregnant again I've got at least another few weeks of waiting and wondering.

Just wondered if anyone had any similar stories and how they turned out xx

I had my ectopic removed nearly 6 weeks ago now and I tested 5 days after the surgery and the tests were already negative. What were your hcg levels when you had your ectopic removed? Was it exactly 3 weeks after the surgery you got a positive test?

Thanks @charlyn

I'm not sure what my hcg levels were at the time of the ectopic as if they were measured I wasn't told. But maybe I will ask! It was exactly three weeks after the removal that I tested positive as I was instructed to do a test on that day. It was not and is still not as dark as the years I got beforehand though.

Nervously awaiting a call from the hospital regarding the levels in my second blood test and whether they have gone up or down.

@cheeseandonionalltheway
I was going to say if your levels were really high then it would probably take longer to get to zero. Mine were around 600 on the day of the surgery. Hope you get some answers.
