Any meet-ups in the Ealing Area?

Hi there, just had ds, now 7 weeks old. My dd will be 3 in December. Been living in the area for a few years now, but since not working in the City anymore after having dd finding it really hard to meet up with friends (with or without kids) as they all seem to live on the other side of town and it takes ages to get there... quite a challenge with 2 little ones I found (still getting used to having 2 around!)

So looking for new contacts/friends in the area. Been to a few toddler groups before ds came along, but somehow most mothers already seem to be very cliquety and it's hard to 'break in'. Even if I get to chat to someone at e.g. the playground it never evolves, even though I try to be very approachable...

So if you're in the Ealing Area and want to meet up for a chat, tea, coffee or the like ...

P.S. Also I'm German so bringing little ones up bi-lingually if anyone wants to 'expose' their kids to some foreign tones

We had an Ealing-ish meet in the summer at the bunny park in Hanwell and I think there have been a few more further west towards Hounslow and some more in the south west. I live in Ealing and have a 16 month year old boy.

I would be interested in arranging another one

I'm all for it. As it's getting bad weather I guess in-door venues are more suitable.
Anything though for getting dd out of the house! She's a bit of a tyrant when stuck at home during bad weather spells... ds is still very well behaved and sleeping most of the time. I believe there's a wacky warehouse along the A40 Perivale and a Snakes and Ladders in Syon Park that are affordable.
Otherwise, just meet up at somebodies place maybe for non hippfriendly biscuits and tea/coffee? My place is a bit of a Toys-R-us so plenty to keep the nippers busy!

Snakes and Ladder is nice, Wacky Warehouse was ok but easier for my son to escape from and he kept going places where it was hard to me to get to him.

Hi everyone, I've just come over from another meet up thread (near heathrow ariport) Can I join in this one too? Snakes and Ladders would be my preferred choice.

Its much better during the week in term time. Not too full at all. I can sort of do any day but Monday. I don't mind what time. My son sleeps in the morning but I am not a slave to his naps as otherwise we would never go to anything.

11th november is good for me too
I'm a first timer when it comes to meet-ups.
How does it work? A special meeting point etc?

opening hours are 10-6
here's the url www.snakes-and-ladders.co.uk/brentford/index.html

yep there are different areas for different ages, though dd always wants to go into the big kids maze... and me to follow. Don't know how I'm going to do this now with baby ds... should be interesting!

hello mrsbigd and hello jane313 (met her in the bunny park meet up)

would love to attend another meet up, I can't do snakes and ladders as i don't drive. However, if anyone plans any trips to chiswick play cafe or perhaps even the science musuem, let me know. Also happy to make new contacts/friends in the local area. My dd is nearly 20 months now. Mrsbigd, have you been to the ealing135 playsessions?
