Low-carb bootcamp

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - just one more week to go

Morning all.

Normally I'd post a link to the spreadsheet, but I don't appear to be able to get into Google docs for some reason. I'll keep trying and will add the link when I can.

So there's just this last week before we give in we get to Christmas! I know a lot of you are worrying about what's going to happen and how you're going to navigate things, especially if someone else is doing all the cooking.

Best advice? Don't panic too much about one day. Enjoy it - especially if someone else is providing the food. But try to keep it to the one day as far as you can. Make sure you keep the water up, and try not to use going off plan as an excuse to fall face first into the Quality Street tin!

Have a good week Flowers

I've just had 2 boiled eggs and 3 Americanos (we have a bean-to-cup machine and coffee doesn't particularly affect me all with a sliver of butter beaten in. Smile

Not feeling hungry - but off to drink more water Wink

I still have crappy scales, it looks like I’ve gone down to 10.4 but I need to get DH to get down on the floor to really see what the tiny lines on my scales say!

Thank you for this final 2019 thread @BIWI

I'm just hovering around the same weight (very close to target) but I love these threads. Today I'm stuck for dinner ideas, so a quick look at the recipe threads... and we're on for fish pie. My half will have cauli-mash, dh's will have potato mash. Of course loads of green veg on the side..

L: very buttery 3 egg omelette shared with DD

2 litres water so far... so many trips to the toilet!

Keep getting compliments on my skin!

Im down 10lbs this bootcamp, and so so so close to target! Need to throw some exercise into the mix to get rid of all the wobbly bits, I mentioned that a few weeks ago and someone on here recommended an at home workout of which I did two Hmm not great. Maybe I'll get some motivation for christmas!

Hi all, and thanks @BIWI, you're ace.

I'm providing the food for xmas gatherings, which is probably what will save me from going off piste. (Although I will allow a 'treat' if I really want to. Which I might not.)

I've lost another 3 lbs, which takes me to a 1st, 4lb loss so far, but I'm extremely happy with that, and don't want to ruin it, which is another reason I will probably not cheat.

B: tea, I wasn't hungry at all
D: low carb burger, cheese & gherkin
T: not sure, I'm still not hungry, but I have low carb sausages, some mashed swede and mushrooms if that changes.
1.5l water so far, but I'll easily have the rest later.

I made my first batch of mince pies yesterday and wasn't tempted to have a single one Halo

....although I did make sure to serve them while they were still warm as I actually don't like warm mince pies Xmas Grin but I do like cold ones Xmas Blush

Thank you BIWI! I'm sort of stuck at the same weight but am down 10 pounds since starting boot camp a couple of weeks after it started so am happy with that.

I'm at a weight I tend to get 'stuck' at so know that it might take a bit of effort to loose the last 6 pounds which would take me to a healthy BMI. The Wine is but helping but difficult to avoid this time of year. I can resist the mince pies Grin but not a cheeky drink! January boot camp should do it! Smile

B - just tea
L - chicken cacciatore with green beans
D - parmesan crusted chicken with cabbage and salad
Still also on the 90% lindt squares...! Only 2.

Dinner here has filled me up to the brim, buttery salted mushrooms and FL spinach and salmon steak in lemon and butter.
I normally have a hot meal in the evening so I don’t know why/ how I’m stuffed so full.
Maybe I’ll carry on not being very hungry tomorrow morning.

Had a delicious dinner tonight - rump steak with chimicurri butter, avocado, asparagus and buttery spinach. Grin

Stayed the same at 182 but it’s okay because I glimpsed 180 during weekly weigh-in and this was always going to be a relaxed weekend with daughter’s birthday meal (won’t bother with detail but very French, very lush, many calories, plus flour and honey were involved).

I’ll see 180 again by Wednesday with proper eating and ALL THE WATER.

I can’t stress enough how important water is, and when I fail my daily intake, it’s an issue.

Really lovely to be going into Christmas with my lowest weight in a year.

Another lb down! Lost a total of 10lbs this boot camp which I am so chuffed about! Will be joining again in January as I'm still about 10lbs or so if where I would like to be.

Had a fantastic moment yesterday when shopping - gathered my usual 12-14 size in clothes, went to try them on and realised they were all too big! I'm in a size 10 Shock

Thankyou all for the support on the threads and for giving me a woe I can stick to - Christmas has definitely landed early for me Thanks

Hi all!
I ended up having my tea, although I wasn't very hungry. 🤷‍♀️
Today's menu is...
B: cup of tea and a sausage
D: lime chicken & spinach
T: not sure yet, but I'll have food in so I'll play it by ear.

Have a good day everyone!
