Low-carb bootcamp

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - just one more week to go

Morning all.

Normally I'd post a link to the spreadsheet, but I don't appear to be able to get into Google docs for some reason. I'll keep trying and will add the link when I can.

So there's just this last week before we give in we get to Christmas! I know a lot of you are worrying about what's going to happen and how you're going to navigate things, especially if someone else is doing all the cooking.

Best advice? Don't panic too much about one day. Enjoy it - especially if someone else is providing the food. But try to keep it to the one day as far as you can. Make sure you keep the water up, and try not to use going off plan as an excuse to fall face first into the Quality Street tin!

Have a good week Flowers

Should probably add that I'm still 'stuck' at 10 pound loss (think it's the wine Blush) but am happy as am wearing clothes I haven't touched in years and am a size down in the stretchy jeggings from Next. I can even get into my skiing jacket Grin no skiing planned but it's warm!

Last day of bootcamp! Whoop whoop!

Been reading the last three pages and am so impressed by the many successful losers and the inspiring images Smile

I've fallen off the wagon twice this week (McDonald's after hospital trip with DD Blush) and have had too much wine but otherwise not too bad all things considered. Am going on bootcamp light until January the 2nd now.

Have stocked up on my alternatives to my traditional Christmas treats. Posh tonics to go with gin and vodka instead of my usual tipple of Bailey's or Ballycastle (Aldi), antipasti, olives, nuts and cheeses instead of carby snacks, dark chocolate instead of puddings etc. DH is cooking us a rib of beef for Christmas dinner, was delicious last year so can't wait!

In other good news, the NHS BMI calculator now puts me at 'overweight' rather than 'obese'

Hooray, you’re overweight!!! Grin

Well done pretty!

I’ve not managed to eat at all yet today because I have dagger throat and a cold. Lots of water and a few halls soothers. Just can’t face it but perhaps will have some soup at dinner time.

Down to 11st 7.5lb this morning Xmas Grin. Might manage the 3/4lb to get under 11 and a half stone by Tuesday after all Xmas Smile

Hi all still here. Still weighing in at between 9 stone 11 and 9 stone 12. I've lost slightly over a stone during boot camp. I'm very pleased..
This last week I've been so busy and I'm not gonna lie the wine has been creeping up however I'm avoiding carbs still, drinking water and I'm intermittent fasting which I think will be my saving grace this Xmas. I've been so busy I haven't managed the gym at all which make me sad. I'm going to just try and enjoy Xmas now without putting too much pressure on myself and then get back to boot camp beginning of Jan. Get rid of my last stone fingers crossed.
Thank you for the thread! It's helped me loads!

@prettybird Excellent typo considering what you were referring to! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have some kind of chest infection coldy thing which is horrible a I’m now driving 200 miles up to Cumbria to spend three days with family.

B: cream coffee and 1 litre water
L: buffet at work but kept away from all carbs and just had cheeses, meat, salads and coleslaw. Halo
Another litre of water.

I’m probably going to forgo tea because after a day of talking to my primary school class through this dagger throat I can’t really swallow without it being agony.

You can do this Kondo Thanks

Most of all - keep drinking the water. If your tummy is sloshing with water, then there's not so much room for carb creep. Xmas Grin

I'm desperately trying to stay on track 🙈. I seem to be in 'fuck it, it's Christmas' mode 😳. I'm not eating everything in sight or anything, but there are carbs slowly creeping in.

I'm down 2.5 stone since the end of August (11lb on this bootcamp) and down a dress size, so really chuffed. Just need to keep going! I'm about 1.5 stone from my target. At 5'11", I'm ok being a size 14 but I'd like my wobbly bits to be a lot less wobbly!

16lb off for me which I am very happy with 🏆

I am now buying the next dress size down (and spending far too much money whenever I go in a shop!! Blush), and people have now started to notice which is nice also Xmas Smile

See you in January for the next one, however, I won't be stopping in between as I don't want to undo my hard work 😇

As promised? Here are the pictures of the progress with the fit of my black trousers. Still a wee bit tight on the thighs but definitely getting there. Middle one was about 2 weeks ago and the 3rd one (the closer up one) was about a month ago.

Hi all checking in with my first off the rails day but sort of planned.
B: cream coffee half litre water.
L: tin of tuna with mayo grated cheese and cucumber with 1.5L water

I work in a school and one of the parents is a professional baker and always makes me and all staff these lovely pick n mix boxes of different types of cakes and biscuits.
I knew it would be worth having some for the pure pleasure. I had 2 balls of almond biscotti, some pieces of white chocolate nougat and tonight at a neighbour’s house I got a baby sitter for DD and had a glass of Baileys.

I’m okay about it as each of these things are just a special treat and are the complete exception to the rule.

I'm only 1lb3/4 away from the goal I set myself in may bootcamp. The goal was to lose it before the end of the year so if I don't go wild at Christmas I might actually make it Wine

I could have had a what looked a very nice cheese platter as my 3rd course Xmas Blush - I have no excuse Xmas Blush

But given that I have now made 3 batches of tablet (and still have two more to make Xmas Shock) without. having. a. single. piece. - I don't feel too guilty Xmas Grin

I’m watching apprentice pre- show too.
I think I’m coming down with a cold, I’m freezing and my throat hurts and my body aches all over, two full on days at school ahead and then going straight to MIL’s for a few days (200 miles away) straight after.
It’s going to be really hard keeping on top of food stuff because MIL does all the cooking from scratch and I don’t want to offend her.

Good luck for the last week everyone 😊
