I'm getting nothing done today! I should be tidying, making dinner (tea time will be mad here, DH going straight out from work, got to feed boys, get them to bed and be done and ready to teach a piano lesson by 7!) oh and packing as we go away to my mum's tomorrow for a week. There is also laundry to fold and put away, haven't even made lunch yet, no... instead I made cookies and MNed whilst the kids watched a DVD - what was I thinking?

Anyway, must get off my sorry arse and do something useful!

Oh hello! Can I join in? I'm a bit rubbish with keeping up with fast moving threads though...

I have got so much to do but so little energy. DD2 is being a bit of a pickle at night now and I'm just knackered. The weather is absolutely beautiful outside and I really want to take the DCs out. I'm going to attempt to at least do the rooms that are seen if we have guests (which we never do, but you never know...) and after that hopefully drag the DCs round the park for a couple of hours.

I'm shit at housework, as my name suggests lol.

I have done half of the washing up (chore!) and done 2 loads of washing so far. I reckon there's another 3782 loads of washing to go before I'm free of it all.

I also woke up to no electric this morning, so had to get the 3 DCs ready and traipse to the shop to charge the key. DD1 had a massive tantrum because I wouldn't let her wear a dress as it needed ironing. All I wanted was a cup of team lol.

So we got back from that little adventure and the kids have since had lunch. DS is now wandering around with his dummy. Sleep time is imminent! The only downside to that is that I'm pretty tired too so could put DD2 down for a bit and join them which results in getting absolutely naff all done.

Well I've emptied dishwasher, put away laundry (some of it straight into the case for going away) and fed DSs and tidied up lunch stuff. And eaten several of the cookies!

Now to tackle the packing and wrapping some birthday presents.

Do you do a weekly list or a day to day one?

If I just write: Everything, I think that just about covers it for today, tomorrow and the rest of the week Grin.

I have to go into work on Thursday morning for Inset Day and we are going to a BBQ tomorrow lunch time at a friend's house. So trying to fit it all in around those two things.

No baby yet, lots of 'activity' but nothing definite or regular yet.

Have decided not to go to SN playgroup today (which is a shame for the boys but it's a bit far from home for comfort) & warned the Speech Therapist that we may be cancelling later.

Today:

  • focus on having baby, lol!
  • text PW re not coming today
  • lunch & tidy up
  • SALT (2.30)
  • poss trip down to beach to see friends (after 3pm)
  • tea x 4 & tidy up
  • boys to bed (bath? probably after beach trip!)

Morning everyone :)

Anon - I know, it's a PITA to be honest. I have had so many little problems with them though - being late, repeatedly not doing certain jobs even though I've pointed them out on numerous occasions, etc. I used a small agency, and the first clean I had the person who came was brilliant, but then the two who have been coming regularly just don't work to the same standard at all. And it was costing loads and I found myself resenting paying when I had to spend an hour going round doing the bits they had missed!!

Oooh JKS - exciting!!

We are having another day at home I think, with lots of time outside. DS1 is getting taken for a day out by family tomorrow and then we are busy all weekend so I don't feel guilty for having a quiet week :)

TODAY
All up and dressed - done
DH to work - done
Spatone + vitamins - done
Breakfast and tidy kitchen - done
Unload dishwasher - done
Make beds and tidy upstairs
Wipe over bathroom
1 load of washing
Re-juggle meal plan
Finalise Waitrose order for Friday
Order name labels for DS1 - done
Lots of playtime with DS1
Lunch and tidy kitchen
DH home early maybe?
Dinner - what?
Clear up
DS1 bath and bed
Tidy downstairs
Kitchen clear before bed
